I like Albert.
The only thing I hate , and it's not his fault, is that the Suns give a 100 dollars to charities everytime they hit a 3.

& I know I bitch about the other guys and their aggravating ways of Sun's homerism and I commend Albert for not doing it, but, it's also disconcerting that he's honestly clueless to the Suns. You can almost "feel" his ignorance when he's bantering. He doesn't know anything from before last November. He's not vested in them anymore than he is the Pelicans. He's just having a grand time doing his profession. It's a little distressing. At least with EJ I know what I'm going to get and when he mentions something from years ago, or a place and time it sparks a memory....and then I wait for him to finish it with a salvo that makes me want to kick the dog.

After Tom Leander, Steve Albert sounds brilliant.

But in reality he's a fairly average announcer. And as mentioned above - he's a hired gun which is both good (he's not a homer) and bad (we don't have an attachment to him like we do Al McCoy).

We have been luck enough to have grown up with one voice of the Suns (well, unless you were here for Bob Vache and Rod Hundley).
