I'm fine with Gortat being moved on. With the way 1st rd picks were being clunged to at the deadline, they cashed him in at the right time it seemed.
Nobody, not even Ryan and Lon, could have forseen the suns being playoff contenders this yr. Even so I'd do the Gortat deal again if I had too

I was iffy on the deal the whole time, and always thought he was one of our best, most under rated assets, and always felt we should have hung on to him.
I forsaw us being playoff contenders - on the old board, I had a bet going, that either LA (when i was hoping for a Nash led/no Kobe squad) or PHX was going to be much better then expected and would make the playoffs and surprise the league.

I think you guys are missing another big reason why Gortat was traded - his contract was up after this year. I would not have been excited to spend most of our FA money on him this offseason. The fact we got a first rounder for a one year rental in this draft was a steal. I'd do it again.

Gortat is worth 10/per, easy... If we had approached it properly, we very well could have gotten a home town discount.

Marion. Nash. Gortat. Even Hill. We have not been treating our stars well during the end of this past era.

Mavs up 2 at the half. Spurs are not playing Tony Parker, it looks like. Duncan got stuffed pretty hard by Sam Dalembert on the Spurs' last offensive possession of the half. Or maybe it was Father Time blocking that one.

Paying guys like Gortat a bunch of money lead you to 1 thing...Mediocrity. He's suprised me this yr with how well he's fit in, but the Wizards have still underachieved in a terrible east IMO.

The Rockets perimeter defense has been downright embarrassing lately. They gave up 30 points and 15 assists to Randy FREAKING Foye on Wednesday, and then tonight they surrendered 51 points to COREY BREWER.
