I was happy just to be rid of him to be honest with you.

Was a slightly underwhelming return, but I agree for the most part. We got some value for him, moved on from his drama and now we can try and find a new pg

If McDonough even thinks about interviewing Calipari for our new head coach, he should be fired on the spot.

I guess he makes money for the university but I think he is the most overated coach on the planet.

On the other hand, interviewing anyone would be a step up.

He went 72-112 with the Nets! He gets a team of NBA talent every year in college and can barely put together a Sweet 16 run. He's a mediocre coach at best.

I read that we're interested in Kokoskov (can't find the source, supposedly Marc Stein reported it). I wouldn't mind him. We could definitely learn a thing or two from the Jazz and he did an amazing job with Slovenian national team.

He was an assistant at one point. Under Porter/Gentry?

It is nice that there are articles pushing for a real coach hire instead of a first timer. Hopefully Sarver is willing to actually pay a non player something beyond the bare minimum.

Sure but only if we're planning on bringing Goran back and drafting Donicic.

I get why some are frustrated with how limited Warren is, but his contract is too good and he does score 20 ppg, that I am not in a hurry to dump him. I hope the Suns give him the offseason to work on his game and let him know that he needs to develop his 3 point shot and progress as a rebounder.

Fran Fraschilla has touted Utah's Alex Jensen as a promising NBA head coach candidate. There is Ettore Messina in San Antonio. I'd also look to hire someone from Denver's staff; I love how they play and how their players have developed.

I think Fiz is overrated, personally.
I agree

ShelC wrote:I'm fine with Triano for another year if he's willing to come back. We're not close to competing so overpaying for an established coach doesn't make sense. It would speed up the process, but any established coach will want to move players which may not work with McD. I'd like to see what Triano can do with a full training camp with Payton and Booker in the backcourt and (hopefully) an improved and more confident Bender in the mix.
I dont agree lol
