Deandre Ayton is the best center in Suns franchise history. Prove me wrong.
What cracked me up about this is that JeremyG unironically liked the post, and everyone else ironically liked it. :-)

Deandre Ayton is the best player the Suns have ever drafted #1 overall.
Or will for a long time to come. Other teams own our ping pong balls for at least the next six drafts.

Still get to pick every other draft though.

We traded a triple swap in ‘26. We get the worst of our pick, WAS’s, ORL’s or MEM’s.

Hot. But also, at least we got one. Just gotta get lucky, imagine they strike gold like Denver did with Joker, it happens, not in Phoenix, but it happens 😂

I mean, he's always whining and moping almost every single time you see him on the court. I figured he'd be a Grade A bitch and do something like this.
Blazers fans warned us about his attitude problems, but everyone swore it would be fine and he would always give maximum effort and be fine with his role.
Nothing to see here. Those are not the droids you're looking for.

Now do Ayton. I'll wait. Also, let this battle die lol. They can both be ass and Allen is the best of the 3.

Jeremy is not the only one not letting this battle die. TOO was replying to a post that didn’t even mention Ayton. Just complaining about Nurk like everyone else.

Why the Phoenix Suns Should Trade Kevin Durant
https://www.theringer.com/2025/01/13/nb ... ler-rumors
I don't know if Ishbia has it in him to admit it was a failed trade. I do know one thing, Ishbia isn't going to blow it all up and trade all of the big three. But KD alone would get us some decent assets. Not as good as what we gave up but pretty decent. That could go a long way toward allowing us to retool around Booker and the rooks and our good role players. Definitely need some young, bouncy bigs though.

I knew you’d chirp up.

We were not set at centre.

Ayton needed to go. We got a good return in the trade.
We still have the better end of the deal.

But it won’t matter what anyone says.
You still have your Ayton blinkers on and will never see past it.
Yes, that was the consensus (minus one) and even in hindsight, it was the right move.

You mean the guy who’s shooting 43.7% from the field this season? He’s a dime-a-dozen wing, nothing special.

The point is that Nurkic was supposed to be content with a small role, give maximum effort, with no complaining/moping. That was the whole reason given for trading Ayton.

We were set at center. But we destroyed ourselves, just like every other trade Ishbia has engineered.
Yes, Grazin' Allen is better than Deandre Ayton. And that's ok, there's lots of guys who only 18m per that are better than max guys. It happens.

It was probably their #2 draft pick after Jabbar, Neal Walk. I wasn't old enough to watch him play but he was a 20/10 guy.

Nick Richards…might be better than Ayton. At least for the price, it’s no question.
He would be an upgrade from our current center rotation for sure. Hopefully we can get it done.
Finally something we can all agree on.
