I don't have cable TV nor a DVR any more. I stopped paying for them because they cost a fortune. I still watch NBA games using League Pass Broadband.Superbone wrote:Appointment TV? What are you talking about? It's called a DVR.

Ah. You've joined the growing movement of cutting the cord. I agree the costs are exhorbitant and really add up and something is going to have to give as more people are moving in this direction.Mori Chu wrote:I don't have cable TV nor a DVR any more. Sony just launched their cord cutting beta test on the PS4.
Re: Game Day: Nets (4-2) @ Suns (4-3), Wed 11/12/14
TV is broken. Nobody wants to watch shows at a fixed time (except live sports). The DVR is needed to make it usable but it shouldn't be that way. You should just be able to watch everything on demand. And paying for all these channels you don't want is stupid. Other more modern companies are going to eat the lunch of the old networks and cable companies.
Re: Game Day: Nets (4-2) @ Suns (4-3), Wed 11/12/14
Only if those old networks and cable companies aren't the ones supplying your internet. And not if the FCC drops the ball here (as they are headed by a key former lobbyist for the those guys).
