I commend Kidd for the job he did this year. But I don't know if Monroe signing is him "wanting" to play there as it is Milwaukee giving him the most money.

I think The Bucks' presentation really played up the Milwaukee night life.

Probably could've gotten the same money from LA or even NY if he pushed for it.

Does no one think offering a guy $16M a year a few months after rupturing his achilles tendon is kind of nuts?

A guard no less? It's not like this is a power forward or center who can just stand under the basket.

Right. Isn't the list of guys that have come back from that particular injury to be their former selves fairly small?

Knicks getting Lopez is pretty awesome for them. I can see them competing now maybe 4th seed at worst. Lopez gives them a lot and should totally change the landscape in the east

Maybe they will be able to sign LA since they now have a center too.

It is going to be fascinating to see what happens there. It's impossible to see how all the main players are there at the end of the season.

Can I just revisit that Lakers pick we traded away for Knight, again? They have completely whiffed on every major free agent and are going to be HORRIBLE again next year. That pick is going to be like #4-8 in the draft for sure. And all we bought with it was the chance to sign Knight to 5/$70m, which we could have done anyway this summer. Argh, why did we give that pick away???

Who are you kidding? The Lakers will move up into the top 3 if they aren't there already.
