Yup, yup, yup and yup.

The real question is how long will Sarver stay out of it?

My hope is that he realizes that we are not going to compete for a ring for several years. That the Salary is under control in comparison with other teams and with the correct marketing and fair prices he can rebuild the fan base. If we are ever going to get a ring its going to be about timing. The next few seasons are not going to be the right time for us. My worry is that if we don't make the playoffs this year Sarver's patience will run out and we will see our GM trying to save his job instead of building a team. Then it will be re,re,re,re,rebuild time.

He seems to be well aware that we are in rebuild mode. Hopefully he has learned from experience that having a surprising season and winning 40-something games doesn't mean the rebuild is done. It would be nice to be able to go out and win a bunch of games without regretting it.

Marty [Mori Chu] wrote:My best guess about Booker is that it's some combination of rust (season just started) and the fact that teams are scouting him out and focusing more of their defense on him. I often miss the little nuances from possession to possession, but I think I remember that in the Golden State game, they ran some little traps and moves to stop Booker from getting where he wanted to go. I didn't notice them doing that with any other Suns players. So I think he is facing a much tougher and more focused defense this season from our opponents. I have faith that he'll figure it out.
All that, plus it seemed like he put a lot of pressure on himself (or took it on from others) over the summer. He wants to be a leader and star very badly, and he wants to do it the right way. But he's finding out he's still one of the youngest players in the NBA.
