It's pointless to get upset about what might happen. And Bradley is actually a pretty good fit next to Booker. I wouldn't spend max money on him, but I doubt he gets max money anyways.

It’s widely expected he will get max money.

Where have you seen that? Not saying it's not true, I just haven't seen it and he doesn't fit the bill of a max level player

First article I read said this
Wojnarowski reports that Detroit is interested in seeing if they can extract value from him now as he is a free agent after this season. Bradley was expected to command up to $20 million per year and is considered one of the best two-way players at his position with the ability to defend both point guards and shooting guards.
20 million is a lot, but it's far from the max under the new salary cap

Max would be 30 million a year. A 20 million dollar contract is like a 12 million dollar contract from two years ago.

I still don’t think he’s worth that amount to this team. Avery would be perfect on the Spurs, Cavs, where they already have stars and need the perfect complement.

Essentially by signing him to a $20 mill/ year deal, we’re committing to him being one of our top 3 players.

I suggested Bradley at the start of the year but he's having a fairlyy bad year shooting this year.

i dont think that's necessarily the case. I would prefer not to sign him. His defense is overrated. There is an insider article on ESPN that tries to explain why his defensive reputation is so high yet his teams always perform better defensively when he's on the bench. They come to the conclusion that he is a very good isolation defender but doesn't help team defense. He'd be more beneficial to a team with solid team defense already in place. Essentially he's the defensive version of a barbosa/Brandon knight etc. those guys can score but don't really make their teammates better. Bradley shuts his man down, but doesn't help his teammates defend.

So my preference would be to not sign him, but I don't think signing him would be a disaster. A 3 year 60 million dollar deal isn't ideal and would make creating cap space in 2019 difficult, but we could do it. We'd still have lots of movable young guys and draft picks that we could trade for stars or let develop/use to draft future stars.

The thunder should be going after him with everything they've got.

I’m looking at the opportunity to sign 2 guys to max deals. I feel it would take away from that chance. It’s probably all moot anyway because I’d be shocked if we could recruit even one max-worthy player to come here, and would drop dead if we somehow convinced TWO.

I think we'd have to dump some contracts if we were going to sign two max deals. It would have to be done 2019 off season and we'd have to somehow get Booker to wait to sign his max deal until after we sign the other guys. We'd have to dump at least Knight and maybe Warren to have that kind of space though.

I’d be more than okay with dumping Warren and Knight if it meant getting two max players. And I think if the Suns told Devin their plans, he’d be okay waiting.

I would too, I just don't know if dumping them would be so easy. Warren might not be too hard, but Knight will be tough.

Gambo saying McD was the reason Boston drafted him and he is 100% sure they are going to try and get him.

Great. Roll.
I had the exact thought when I initially heard him blathering on the radio.

Just bring in Marcus Smart at an inflated contract too. Might as well bring in all of Boston’s overrated shit.
