I'd love to see some soccer style chants/songs become a thing in NBA arenas. Nothing crazy or over the top, but those Pacers chants are hilarious, especially when trolling the Lakers and their situation. I also feel like NBA players and fans are more closely connected than with other sports so it's a little more fun so long as it's good natured ribbing and nothing over the line.

Apparently he slipped and fell at home. That's how he tore it. Does that give Washington any recourse?
I just read that insurance will cover "80% or $275,000 after 41 games are missed" which leads to the following questions -

- the higher amount between 80% or $275,000 or the lower amount?
- does it cover the salary up to that point or just the salary after the 41st game is reached?

There was an insurance clause where 80 straight games missed and insurance picked up kike 90%? Think that was used with Grant Hill or the Magic wanted to use it? Also think the Blazers used it with Darius Miles.

Either way, doesn't look like Wall is out for his whole career so the Wiz are on the hook for the remainder of the deal prob.

Savage. Good on those Indy fans.
They have a pretty well organized fan section. I think it’s called the Myles Turner block party or something. But yeah they have been pretty creative lately. I remember the John Wall hates you chant for Oubre.

I’ll be there first hand to see the Clippers gutted roster Thursday

So insurance may pay some of his contract, but it still kills their cap for 4 years unless he retires.

Even if he retires (see Chris Bosh)

The best they could hope if he retires to to get a injured player exception which is pretty limiting. But they'd be on the hook for any salary insurance doesn't pick up.

I thought Miami got off the hook for Bosh’s contract because it was determined he couldn’t play?

They do not have to pay it, but it still counts against their cap. Even dead players count against the cap.

Hmm, I’m pretty sure that’s not true. I may be wrong, but I remember bosh coming off Miami’s cap after it was deemed he could no longer play.

That's true; Tyson Chandler did count on our cap earlier this year.

Worst players in the NBA this season, by WS/48, minimum 100 MP: http://bkref.com/tiny/nOvVc

I can’t copy and embed the table, but here are some takeaways:

Brandon Knight and Marqueese Chriss are the worst two. They just got traded to the Cavs.

Ryan Anderson is #12. Also on the move.

Other Suns in the top 20: JJ at #6, Crawford at #16, and Okobo at #20.

It's funny because I think if we had drafted Doncic, there's a good chance it wouldn't have worked with Booker and the Suns would've been in a tough spot. Ayton was the safer move in terms of personnel.

i think the team plays slightly better because point doncic. but still wont make the playoffs.

ayton with the kings would be ROTY, and in the playoffs.

I think it would’ve worked out fine with Booker and Doncic. The reason DSJ went into the tank is because his best skill is athleticism. A Booker and Doncic backcourt would’ve at least been a Curry-Thompson lite.

However, it’s definitely telling that Booker endorses Ayton as his preferred choice and that the front office is so damn inept that they have to appease a 21 year old who they’re about to pay a max salary.

So, Jeremy Lin is getting bought out by Atl, but only to be signed by Toronto, who has Lowry and VanVleet, to be there 3rd pg. And then there are the Suns who are still without a decent 3rd string pg to be their starting pg. I know he is intrigued about being on a title contender, but this annoys me because he could really help this young team even more than Tyler Johnson can.

Who in their right mind would choose to play here over a good team?
