Yes and coaches starting to rest guys continues
Unfortunate for us but can't say I'm surprised
Spurs here cruising obviously against this opposition
It's pretty obvious to me that everybody is afraid of this Suns team. They're going to do whatever it takes to keep them out of the top 9.
None of the favorites are scared of playing the suns in a 7 game series.

Par for course. Indy and Informer can't ever feel optimistic about this team. They've always got each other's back when it comes to pessimistic takes around here.

Indy just needs to learn how to lighten up. Not everything is a serious statement of fact. In my best nerd voice, “No, Superbone. Actually, you are incorrect. None of the favorites are scared of playing the suns in a 7 game series. I have done an informal poll of the top 8 players of each team that can be considered favorites and I have found that not to be the case.”

Just doing my job. It wouldn't be .net if I wasn't coming around slamming you and Indy as realist pessimists every month or so.

And the clippers are resting Kawhi against the blazers today.

It's hard to catch other teams when the Blazers, Spurs, Grizz, etc. get to coast to wins in their games against opponents resting their best players. Crazy to think that we could go 7-1 or 8-0 in the bubble and still not get in. But that's what the math has always been. I hope our guys don't hang their heads and just go out there and try to win every game.

Yup. Even after all that has gone right, we still have a magic number of six with four games to play. All we can do is win out and hope for the best.

Lillard has it going again, but Lou Williams matching him. Portland up 37-34 after 1. Not a lot of defense

This gives me some hope for the Suns:
The Denver Nuggets are one of a handful of teams in the NBA to find immense success with the two-way contract. But they have an extra step to take in the process.
The Nuggets don’t have their own G League affiliate (the only other team in a similar situation is the Portland Trail Blazers), forcing them to outsource to other developmental teams around the league to place their two-way players.
“It’s challenging … but we’ve been lucky because so many of these other teams have been very generous with their time, and they’ve enjoyed having some of our guys,” said President of Basketball Operations Tim Connelly.
Finding the right G League team is crucial for the Nuggets. If they don’t, their players won’t get the minutes they need and won’t develop like they want them to.
Connelly relies on relationships he has made throughout the league to find the right teams. He also leans on the connections of general manager Artūras Karnišovas and assistant coach Jordi Fernandez, who coached in the G League from 2014 to 2016, when it was known as the D League.
A handful of G League affiliates have surfaced as reliable options for Nuggets players over the years, including the Capital City Go-Go’s (Washington Wizards), Delaware Blue Coats (Philadelphia 76ers), Iowa Wolves (Minnesota Timberwolves), Sioux Falls Skyforce (Miami Heat) and Rio Grande Valley Vipers (Houston Rockets).
When looking to place a player, Connelly and Karnišovas start with that group of teams and make calls to get a feel for what they are looking for. If those don’t work out, they open up the search to other teams in the league.
“Obviously, nobody is going to promise you certain minutes, but you try and find the best fit,” Karnišovas said. “It’s a mutual relationship — they want the best player for them too. … It all depends on their roster and how they compose it and what position they need to fill.”
Guard Monte Morris and small forward Torrey Craig are testaments to how the Nuggets have found success with two-way contracts.

I feel bad for Simmons, but I think Philly will still play at the same level. I don't think they were headed in the right direction with moving Simmons off the ball. It was taking away what he essentially does best.

Clips/Blazers looks exciting down the stretch. Currently 86-85 Blazers halfway through the 3rd. Go LA!

Clippers have taken the lead. This could be a huge win for us if the clippers can finish. I’m worried they’ll do what the nuggets did and not bring PG back in down the stretch.
