Love you FF, but I don’t know what you’re arguing here. It’s all good, we won and it was a lot of fun…nuggets game tomorrow
All I'm trying to say is that a guy off of the street doesn't guarantee better results. Is Burke a better dribbler than Okogie, yeah, obviously. But what difference will it make if the defender wins anyway?
There's a lot of frustration from the lack of roster moves, I get it. Just try to not let it color everything that happens on the court. This isn't NBA2K.

Guys just enjoy the win!
Agreed.
Big thank you to Mikal Bridges. So many huge plays. I'm really happy for Saric too. Glad he had a night to shine.
Monty did a good job managing the minutes in the 1st half. The 4th quarter substitutions were iffy, but they got through it.
Craig' motor was really impactful. His rebounding, defense, aggressive drives to the basket, they all made a difference.

Inf will stan for Trey Burke until Burke is getting around with a walker.
(I would have also been happy to have Burke in that 4th)

For anyone concerned, I'm not at all upset or trying to troll. Just an honest debate. If you think I'm wrong, it's fine. It won't hurt my feelings.
Edit: OK,
www.Trey-Burke.net is troll-y.

Doesn’t guarantee it, but we really needed someone who could beat the pressure. We didn’t have anyone that could. Burke would’ve been a better option.

Šarić of several years ago made an appearance, thankfully.
Did have a few too many TOs, but 19 pts, 9 boards and 7 assists was definitely welcome.

I think Andrew Wiggins is the decider in this situation, not Trey Burke or whoever the Suns had handling the ball.

Suns were 29-31 from the foul line.
Also outrebounded the Kvetching Warriors, 58-45.

Love Mikal Bridges, he had a great game, but he wanted no part of the ball those last few minutes. That was a little disappointing.

You think he would’ve done that if we had CP3 and Book?
Talking about Wiggins here

I think the argument is that we have a much better chance with Burke or Kemba to bring the ball up and beat the defensive pressure than trusting Craig or Okogie in crucial minutes.

It’s also not just dribbling. Good initiators can break the press with their passing. Craig and Okogie can’t dribble
or pass against pressure.

He wasn’t really the guy you wanted attacking that pressure either. He did have two huge offensive boards and putbacks. We never really got into our half court offense at the end. But ya he did kinda disappear on the ball there.

The fact that he only shot 1-3 from three tells me there is still something going on with him physically. But at least he was knocking down the middy again.

I think it’s more that he’s playing on ball more and not standing at the 3 point line waiting to catch and shoot. He’s running the plays Booker normally does and he’s not the pull-up threat Booker is, so it makes sense he’s not taking many 3s. He’s also never really been a high volume 3 point shooter

Wow, what a win. So proud of these guys. Saric was incredible. Mikal was a little sloppy at times but he led us offensively and seemed to rise to the occasion. Basically everybody who played exceeded expectations. It was rough watching them turn the ball over so much and let the Warriors almost come back in the 4th, but they held it together and made their FTs to seal the deal. Really gutsy gritty win for a team that had no business winning this game.

I can go back and insert any other random waiver wire point guard that can dribble and shoot, if that will make everyone happy. If you keep it generic, and just call for a position to added, then everyone will cry for a specific name. So I gave one.
In any event, I think any reasonable person can see a lineup that lacks a primary ball-handler having trouble getting the ball up the court might benefit from having a primary ball-handler.

Yep, that's the argument. My side is that is that "much better chance" is making a lot of assumptions because Kemba Walker is healthy enough to play like twice a month and Trey Burke hasn't played real NBA minutes in almost a year.

Forget everything I said before. We are going to the finals.
It was really fun to see the team get rewarded for playing with intensity.
