Can someone give a rundown on Bazley?

Young, athletic, seemingly a lot of untapped potential. I'm sure INF loves him.

I like this deal. He's filling a role and we knew Dario was on borrowed time.

OKC is loaded with young talent, but it still feels like they could have done better. Weird.

He still is rough around the edges. Inconsistent. But yeah, there is definitely upside there.

Here's what an OKC scout on FanNation Inside The Thunder said about him recently in a mock trade

In his three and half seasons, Bazley has yet to live up to Oklahoma City’s high hopes and the franchise has recently acquired a plethora of talent that will need minutes, touches, and a role for developmental purposes. This makes him expendable.

But that doesn’t mean he doesn’t have value.

Au contraire, the 6-foot-9 forward is only 22 years old and still has room to grow, especially on offense. In fact, he’s even been showing off some brand new passing chops in recent games.

The real draw is that he's a switchable defender. Bazley has the feet to lock up opposing guards and wings, even often blocking 3-point shots, and the size and leaping ability to contest shots around the rim, evidenced by his 4.9 block percentage and 1.5 steal percentage.

James Jones hasn't shown interest in a starting power forward in about two years. I don't think he is going to start now.
Is Bazley a PF in your mind?

Moreso than Torrey Craig or Cam Johnson.

Yeah
As others have said Bazley has talent and as we all see on the regular, opportunity and fit is such a big part of how a player is perceived

I think he would get himself in trouble trying to be a scorer last couple seasons with OKC embracing the Tank and Shai being out often.

He shouldn't have an issue being told just play hard D, board and run the court - take advantage of the looks you get with all the attention the others get

Here's one for ya that just crossed my mind
How bout him being something like DJJ ? Funny enough they are both lefties also 🤐🤷🏾‍♂️

So it looks like we swapped CamJ, Mikal, and Saric in our rotation with KD, Warren, and Bazely. Certainly better this year. We’ve got two open roster spots. Curious now what the buyout market brings.

I’m assuming no after the buzzer deals come through.

Wall is pretty low risk, but there must be some real concern over Cam Payne's foot injury.

Wall can’t shoot…but he should be able to run some offense

I'm sure he could bring the ball up under pressure by Andrew Wiggins too.

Edit: Wow, I didn't realize how poorly he's shot his year. Yikes.
