I woke up to pee and literally pissed a bit on the way reading this headline oh my God oh my God! My heart sunk some seeing Mikal leaving but Durant. So torn and yet so excited. Oh my Lord.

Mikail, Cam, AND 4 Firsts?

This team isn't winning without Mikail.
4 Firsts?
We STILL have no PG to back Chris ..

Too much...huge mistake...
VT
Can’t complain about backup pg when you get KD

Split...if Chris gets hurt again, you'll regret that...if we had gotten Dinwiddie in the trade, I'd have felt a lot better about this...

Talks had progressed and stalled and the Suns appeared to be pivoting toward a three-way deal that might've landed them Atlanta's John Collins sometime Thursday morning, sources said. On the direction of his new owner, Mat Ishbia, general manager James Jones texted Nets GM Sean Marks sometime after 11 p.m. ET --- and it wouldn't be long until Ishbia and Nets owner Joe Tsai had cobbled together the final elements of an historic trade, sources said.

Kinda makes sense. Neither GM wanted to put their neck on the line so the owners had to get involved.

His initial hope was to keep Bridges out of the trade, but that was a non-starter with the Nets. The Suns' offers weren't close to the Nets' asking price on Monday and Tuesday…

Once the Suns were willing to move Dario Saric's contract out of the deal --- and spare themselves surrendering second-round picks to account for his salary -- the teams were on the cusp of a deal, sources said...

Dinwiddie isn’t available to be traded now that the Dallas deal was finalized.

I won’t…we still have Booker and Durant…obviously a CP3 injury wouldn’t be ideal, but it would be worse if we didn’t make the deal. Now we aren’t dependent on CP3 for shot creation.

Also they couldn’t include Dinwiddie in the deal.

We wanted off Saric(mostly to save money it sounds like…but think we should use his salary to add another piece.

“The Suns had been talking with Detroit about the possibility of acquiring Collins in a three-way deal with Atlanta, but Ishbia wouldn't go to bed on Wednesday night without making one more run at Durant.”

I wonder if we could have kept Bridges if Mat had let it go into tomorrow.

Not sure you want to know the answer to that question…Ayton is almost surely in the deal if Mikal isn’t

Not if KD threatened to sit out as the deadline approached.

(I also doubt Ayton would agree to the trade.)

Coach Palotie is a moron, apparently. Boston and Milwaukee are the only teams I think have a clear advantage. That's right, I just went full Ja.

Both are extreme hypotheticals, IMO.

I've never believed Ayton would reject a trade. He not that type of guy.

We'll have plenty of time to annoy each other over this so I'll keep it short for now; the stakes for Ayton's career as a Phoenix Sun just went up dramatically. Paul and Booker are one thing, but adding a top 10 all-time player is another level and he just lost two guys that I think were his comfort blanket.

If the Suns fall short this season, a replacement for Paul will be obvious, but it may also come at the expense of Ayton.
