The Constitution needs some amending, but we won't get into that.
Are you 35 and American? C'mon doooown, it's such a joke.
You'd think after 250 years they'd have started to figure out somethings just don't work like they used to. *Shrugs*
Well, you have over 150,000,000 Americans to decide which of the 'qualified' candidates should be hired. And, I'm sure that most base it on something more than 35 yrs old and a natural born citizen of the United States.
You'd think that...

It’s a popularity contest. You have to be able to sell crap to a pig and do it with passion. It doesn’t matter what your qualifications are.

I agree with this article about how silly it is to try to replace Biden in the race this year.

"Why did you vote for America to become a fascist dictatorship, Grandpa?"

The saddest part…. Why we’re left with those two as options.

IMO Trump is existentially dangerous enough to the future of the country/world that it is best to vote for Biden even if one does not love Biden. Voting for neither of these two men increases the chance that Trump will win, which would be catestrophic. And AZ is a swing-ish state nowadays, so those votes or non-votes do matter.

If between Trump and Biden it’s definitely Biden for me. Biden is old and slow. Politics is old and slow and no one has more experience than him. His actual job performance has been great imo. I doubt he would last another term and someone not named Trump would take his place. I am not thrilled with Kamala either but I would take pretty much anyone over Trump. I would take Nikki Haley over Trump in a heart beat. She doesn’t come across as bat shit crazy evil like Trump does.

I am curious why so many have issues with Harris.

Speaking only for myself, it was primarily a few factors. I was really unimpressed with her debate performances in 2020 and generally haven't been thrilled with her public statements and speeches over the past ~ 5 years. She seems helter-skelter and unable to describe coherent plans and ideas a lot of the time.
An article that really put me off of Harris was this NYT article that went inside her campaign, describing a chaotic atmosphere, mistreating the staff, and other problems. This article does not paint her in a good light.
I'd way, way rather have President Harris than Trump. But I think the Dems can do better as a 2024 POTUS candidate.

Thanks for your thoughts. It makes me wonder what the prospects are of changing the vice president on the ticket and if that would have any effect. For example, would more vote for Biden/Newsom rather than Biden/Harris? With Biden's age, maybe they're more concerned about who would take over if he had to step down.

How much a precedent would it be to change VP’s? She’s the incumbent VP. It would be a real bad look for Biden. She could be the first woman/black/Indian President ever. Dumping her for some white California dude would be a pr nightmare.

This is a terrible argument.
You should definitely vote for the guy who is unequivocally supporting genocide, because the other guy is even worse!
No. Put out a better candidate.

Respectfully, there are worlds of difference between Biden's shitty Israel policy (which can be improved, and is a foreign issue that affects another country much more than ours) and Donald Trump, who would literally crumble our democracy and free and fair elections permanently if elected again. "Put out a better candidate." - No candidate is perfect. I'm not going to let a fascist take over the country just because I have some beef with the non-fascist guy.

Literally manipulating a shit candidate down peoples throat just because the other candidate is worse.
Drink this poison because behind the other door is a torture chamber!
I'll never drink that Kool Aid I'm sorry.
It's almost like Trump is the Biden gangs best weapon to a presidency. Because Biden would get absolutely torched if Kasich or some other centrist Republican were running.
You are completely downplaying what is happening in Israel and saying Bidens policy "can be improved" is also dismissive of the fact he's literally supporting and funding genocide.

Yes, it’s defined in the Constitution as not being an insurrectionist.

Hamas, the unequivocal leaders of the Palestinian people, have made it their mission in life the genocide of all Jews. There is a grey line in what is happening and people tend to pick a side and call the other side evil. What Israel is doing is hard to watch. What Hamas has done was hard to watch. Every US President since long before I was born has supported Israel. Biden isn’t doing anything any normal President would do.
The consensus seems to be that Israel should do nothing when they are attacked and just ignore the attacks against their people.

No the consensus is they should stop somewhere before killing thousands of innocent children. Nobody is upset that Israel responded to the terrorist attack
