I wouldn't be surprised if we do something else before the trade deadline.

That's what I was thinking right now. Plumlee could be part of a package, plus the regular suspects.

I really think both Dragic and Bledsoe would be more comfortable if they rotated controlling the ball like last season.
IT and Tucker for a solid starting three? Preferably one that can play defense. Who fits that description out there that might be available?

I would really like a move that could potentially allow Goodwin or TJ to get consistent minutes, especially T.J.

I wouldn't mind reading the Moron twins. That kind of emotional instability on the court is inexcusable.

Not so fast. Tucker put us in position to win the game to begin with. He is certainly not untouchable but I wouldn't dispose of him lightly.

Len's one on one defense on Duncan, again superb.

I agree that he was big in that game. The problem is our logjam of backup 3's. I like Tucker as a backup and think that would be perfect but then we also have Marcus. It is a big mess I dunno what they are going to do if they want to improve at the 3 spot.Ring_Wanted wrote:Not so fast. Tucker put us in position to win the game to begin with. Starting next year you can shop the Twins if you want. This season, Green is expiring.

How? IT and Frye don't even play the same position. Wright and O'Neal do and helps where we need help in. Plus Wright is better than most back up bigmen and his attributes fits with our style of play and all it cost is a couple second rounders. It's a good deal.SDC wrote:even if you are right... here's another... IT > Frye, doesnt mean the team as a whole is playing better with thomas.Wally_West wrote:Wright> O'Neal. Turnovers and techs.

Synchronicity and all that jazz, man.

Trading Tucker now will cost us games this year so it depends on what your goal is. Trading for Brandan Wright seems to imply that we're all in for the playoffs so I don't see Tucker going anywhere right now. However, I'd look into moving some assets for Tobias Harris. I would even include Warren & a pick as a package for him with a draft pick. I doubt they want to move him, but who knows.
So going forward our roster would be:
Dragic/Ennis
Bledsoe/IT3/Goodwin
Harris/Marcus
Kieff/Wright
Len/Plumlee

seems like nobody has the guts to tell green to stop his PG act... it's as if everytime he does it, half the time it leads to a turnover.
Re: Game Day: Suns (22-16) @ Spurs (21-15), Fri 1/9/15
For me, that was the most painful game of the season. We just traded for a one-year rental to push toward the playoffs, and Kawhi's out, and we're completely healthy, and we technical our way to a critical loss.
Notice, too, how Pop finds a use for the guys at the end of his bench. Hornacek will trust his guys until they force him to take them out.
I say this loss goes to Coach. Can't control his team. Says they should go to the basket, but you're the coach. If they won't stop jacking up treys, put in players who will.
Also, while I like Coro, his extraordinary reluctance to write anything damaging to the franchise irks me. Doesn't criticize the Morrises. Quotes Hornacek saying that the problem was our rebounders passing it to players other than the point guards - are you serious? Putting this on Alex?? Soon as we took him out, Spurs went right to the bucket - and it was predictable! The problem with turnovers WAS our point guards - 11 between the 3 of them. And those awful, nothing fouls from IT and Bled in the fourth - inexcusable. No discipline on this roster.
I'm convinced that we're talented enough to go deep in the playoffs. But mentally, we're a bottom feeder. That falls on Hornacek.

Hornecek was actually quoted as saying he's so sick of the T's and he's just gong to bench guys after it happens for now on. He said he's told them about it numerous times and they keep doing it. So according to those quotes he's addressing it as he should.
“Kobe had said (after the play) I wasn’t hugged enough as a child,” Bell recalled. “My mom kind of found him after the instance and we had beat them and offered him a hug in the bowels of the Phoenix arena. She really feels a part of that story.”

Its at the end of the game recap. Its obviously frustrating though as a fan, particularly when its more then 1 guy.

I read that too but it's not like it's been just a few times. It's almost every game. He wants them to come out with energy and fire (which they never do against non-contenders), so he lets them play emotional, but to the players, that means squawking at the refs, which has been a problem all season. So now he's doing something about it.Sunsfan4life wrote:Hornecek was actually quoted as saying he's so sick of the T's and he's just gong to bench guys after it happens for now on. IIRC, we had critical techs against OKC as well. Guess you could say it worked out, in that the refs took Westbrook out (which was BS, btw). But without the techs, no overtime, and victory instead. Did we have techs in the LAC game? How about all the other close games we've barely lost? Honestly, can't recall, and this isn't the sort of research I do for a living.
The plan seems to be, try to keep all the vets happy about sharing the floor with each other. They'll win, then they'll come together. But instead, they blow their tops, they blow games, they make silly fouls and turnovers, and our playoff hopes are dangling by a thread when we should be in the middle of the hunt.
