No one is going to offer amything good, other than maybe Cleveland or Houston. Unfortunately, they may not have anything worthwhile in return. I think it would be best for LA to come calling, and get another team involved that has an asset or two worthwhile and cap space to obsorb a contract of LA's to create room for PG. I say take Deng and #2 and give up Miami's 2018 and possibly Knight to Indiana. LA gets PG.

I'm not sure but I actually think there's something sort of honorable in being totally honest a year in advance instead of leaving them high and dry in the Summer. At least this way they can get a modicum of something, you know?

I would think they wouldn't get much but then again Dragic was going to be an FA, forced his way out by saying he wouldn't re-sign and we got 2 first round picks. So who knows?

I think the biggest difference between dragic and George is that dragic was open to re-signing with whoever traded for him. George is going to LA

That is a key difference but wasn't there a list of teams he was considering?

Ya that sounds familiar. It seems like it was miami and LA, can't remember if there were others.

How are the Lakers going to create enough cap space next year to pick up George and/or other big time free agents? Aren't they a bit too close to the cap right now?

Never mind, it looks like they will have plenty of space. If they denounce all their team options, they have only $46 mil in salary. Not including this year's #2 pick.

Looks like even if they pick up all their options, which is likely, they should have about $40 million available in cap space next year. That's without dumping Mozgov or Deng.

This option here, he's a bum! And that one there, I never liked him!

3/10 good job, good effort.

If the Suns really want Ball to pair with Booker for the foreseeable future, what do you think of this trade? I'm just trying to thinking what it would take for the Suns to get the #2 pick.

Bledsoe --> Dallas
#9 and Paul George --> Lakers
Knight, Miami '18, #28 --> Pacers
#2 and Deng --> Phoenix

Lakers are stealing the #9 pick here imo. I agree they should get some change back for their #2 but not that much if they want to add George while dumping Deng.

Yeah, you might be right.

How about this?

Bledsoe --> Dallas for #9
Miami '18, #32 and Paul George --> Lakers
Knight, #9 --> Pacers
#2, #28 and Deng --> Phoenix

Give the Pacers 28 as well, and maybe they consider it. Lakers win in a landslide though, George AND a 1st? Yowza. I'd rather stay at 4.

I also don't think Indiana ships out George if all they get back is a #9 pick and poopy Brandon Knight.

Probably not, but the closer they get to next year the less they get for him.

You do stay at 4, just add #2 as well. #4 was never in play.

Since Indy is trying to get another 1st, how about this:
Bledsoe --> Dallas
Miami '18, #32 and Paul George --> Lakers
Knight, #9, #28 --> Pacers (could swap out Dudley or Chandler to make it work)
#2, #6, #25 and Deng --> Phoenix
#4 --> Orlando

The Cavaliers, per league sources, have been working today on assembling multi-team trade scenarios to try to acquire Chicago's Jimmy Butler

Geeez , my timeline is going off that Suns is one of the teams that Cavs trying to get involved to help with the assets Bulls seeking in return :shock:
