But we don't need a scoring ISO PG that doesn't play defense.
So, you wouldn't do it for Bled, Warren or Chriss, and the 2019 Miami pick top 10 protected?
I'm not a big fan of Kyrie, but I would absolutely do that.

Irving has the same All-NBA credentials that Goran Dragic does - one 3rd Team All-NBA. He is a perennial All-Star (4 of the last 5 years), but he's not on the same level as Curry, Harden, Westbrook or Paul - he's a notch down from that. He's more Klay Thompson, Damian Lillard or Isaiah Thomas which is really good, but he's not among the best of the best.

And no, based on his college career and scouting reports I don't include Josh Jackson, who is on a rookie scale contract and under team control for five years for Kyrie Irving who is going to ask for $35-$40 million a year when he starts talking new contract in the next year or two.

I'm not basing anything on summer league games. No one should, that's my point.

They want Josh Jackson.
And they can go pound sand. It's gotten to the point that no one is giving anything of value up for Irving, why should the Suns?

Well, they can't have him.

It' going to end up being Bled and Miami 1st to Cleveland, Kyrie to NY, Ntilikina, (insert bad contract) and 2 1st from NY to Phx

Agreed. I am fine with keeping Bledsoe. I would love to have Kyrie, but Jackson is staying.

This is my stance as well. It's funny reading some of the Cavs fans comments.

Haha, yeah it is. They are convinced that the Suns will cave, because they did in the Wiggins/Love trade. They just can't get it through their lead paint eating brains that the Suns aren't DESPERATE to please the King. The Suns don't NEED to make this trade, all pressure is on the Cavs.

Call me crazy but I'd rather have Jackson than Wiggins right now.

That would be great, depending on that bad contract.

Nope. Just gets rid of assets for a more expensive piece that still doesn't fit with our likely #1 option.

Who also isn't interested in signing an extension so we will go through the process of wondering if he'll even resign with us two years from now. Pass.

Let me ask those who know the Collective bargaining rules better than I do. Will Kyrie be eligible for the Super Max after being traded?

Not the Super Max, no. Has to be with the team that drafted you.

His 2 years left on the contract and the Super Max are the only leverage that Cleveland has. The fanbase seems to have started burning the jerseys though.

absolutely. it's the most comprehensive, sensible article on this topic

“The Cavs were minus-120 in 635 minutes with Kyrie on and LeBron off last season...
“Kyrie ranked 40th in assist percentage and 71st in defensive RPM among NBA point guards,
and if he couldn’t be bothered to play defense or share the ball when he was contending for a title,
what is he going to do on a team that will struggle to crack .500?”

Sounds good for us and NY, but Cleveland is not getting enough. Maybe Bledsoe + 2NY 1st rounder to Cleveland; Courtney Lee and Ntilikina to Phoenix and Kyrie to NY. Keep in mind that a few weeks ago, we would have taken Ntilikina disguised as "Bledsoe for the 8th pick", and not everyone, but many would have liked it.

Ideally, I would happily give up one of our 1st (Top 5 protected, never send unprotected picks aways) if that turns Ntilikina into Porzingis, then swap our Chriss for the Kris in Chicago (Dunn) to balance the roster. Send us Noah instead of Lee if that what it takes (Millsap to NY would adjust the trade under cap rules)

Dunn/ Ulis /James
Booker/ Reed/ DJJ
Jackson/ Warren (to balance O & D)
Porzingis/ Bender/Dudley
Chandler/ Noah/ Williams
