Knowing what we know now about Bledsoe and the situation we're in, would you have wanted us to draft De'Aaron Fox instead of Josh Jackson?
That's a no for me. I think Jackson has more upside and PGs are a dime a dozen right now it seems. Harder to find an "available" star at the 3-4 than a PG. Kentucky PGs are hit or miss lately. Jackson all the way. Final answer.

I really wish we had made that Bledsoe + Jackson for Kyrie deal.

While I don't think PG is a pressing need right now for this season, we certainly need to be thinking about our PG of the future. Mike James and Ulis are nice players, but we need something better for the long term.

The question is, where is that player going to come from?

Collin Sexton is the only PG in the coming draft who I can really see being worth a lotto pick, and unless he really surprises this year, he is not going to be worth a top 5.

So, what about free agency? We can anticipate having lots of cap room going into the 2019/2020 offseason. I have not looked at who is going to be available then, but it is possible we could fill that spot then.

Right now, I think you're right, although an argument could be made for Doncic. It's way early right now, we should at least wait for the college season and see how it goes. I know Lillard wasn't high on the radar prior to his draft year, and coming from a low-major, rightfully so. He was able to rise up as scouts took a deep dive into his film. I'm just saying there might be a fantastic pg that we aren't seeing right. This draft is pretty deep talented, but as of right now, it's mostly bigs.

Rubio (who will be 28), Irving (27), Dragic (33), and Beverly (30) will be the best PGs available during 2019/2020 offseason.

If we were running Kyrie + Book + Warren, we would have enough new hope and energy plus enough one on one players to have kept Watson employed for half the season.

I'm not as concerned about our lack of leverage. It didn't hurt Cleveland in the Kyrie case. You can make the argument that it forces teams to come at us with competitive offers because if they really want Bledsoe, they'll have to outbid the other suitors. If he's not with the team, we also shouldn't be in a rush to move him. Let the season play out a little and more things will happen (injuries, disappointing play) that will increase other teams' urgency to deal.

As long as they know the Suns are willing to let him sit for a while (and they should be), they should get some reasonable offers at some point. Throw in the possibility of also getting short-term cap relief and it could be very appealing to a team like Cleveland.

I understand not feeling rushed to do a deal but someone else asked about having him stay away from the team, how long we can enforce that and what is the domino effect if he's allowed back. Anyone know the "rules" involved in such

As long as we're paying him, we should be OK. If the situation drags on for an unreasonable amount of time, he can file a grievance. This seems like more of an agreement though.

Something I haven't seen mentioned here that I heard on a podcast today is that Bledsoe and Watson are both represented by Clutch Sports. It makes sense that they'd be in bed with each other, and makes me want to rid ourselves of Bledsoe even more. I hate how much control agents have over the league.

If we get Bledsoe out, will we be 100% Klutch Sports-free? (That would be my preference. Screw them and their little fiefdom.)

I would love to have Faried here and would hate to have Monroe.

Agreed. We need that hustle and energy. Faried does't really defend, but he has motor and doesn't need plays called for him. I believe he could get his stock to rise if given a new environment. Monroe can score in the post and is a nice passer for a C, but he would be just an expiring contract. Anyway, regardless of whatever actual players we end up getting, a 1stR in '18 needs to be pursued as the main goal.

Emmanuel Mudiay gets mentioned alot in the rumours.

I havent really been following him that much. His rookie year seemed to start well, but what happened after that as he seems to be out of favour in denver?

Terrible shooting, mediocre passing, lots of TOs. So far he's been one of those 'anti-PGs'.

Somewhat of a Bledsoe clone?

I don't have anything against faried as a player, he'd just take all of Chriss and Bender's minutes. I guess I'd be fine if he took Chandler's minutes.

A Bledsoe clone that shoots 35% from the field

I don't think that description is very fair to Bledsoe. He had 3 bad games to start this year, yes. But last year he was close to 20/5/5. We too quickly forget that he has been pretty steady and productive for us for years. Aside from the very short start to this current season, he's been dependable for way better numbers than Mudiaye has ever come close to delivering.
