Weird. Any word on if he just forgot or purposefully blew it off?

Why does everybody just assume Oubre is playing for a contract and thinks he'll be a lazy bum after getting his contract?
His first 3.5 years in the league? He has never been a net positive from a +/- perspective until he got here. Despite being on a winning team (until this season).

Oubre is going to break our hearts if we sign him. I like his last month or so, but it is a contract year run if I ever saw one.

I like his energy, but he doesn't pass it and his shot isn't very efficient.

His numbers really aren’t that different with us than the rest of his career. I’m curious why people thing this is a contract year bump...it’s not much of a bump. This is pretty much who he’s been.

Actually easier to be a net positive on a bad team. That’s not a surprising stat. Especially since he was coming off the bench in Washington. Probably played a lot of minutes without wall and Beal.

Agree. Nothing about his numbers scream "contract year player".

I don't think it is laziness that people fear.

Personally, Oubre just isn't consistent enough. I like his handles, energy, and he is a playmaker on the defensive end. But we have a thousand small forwards, and small forwards are very easy to find, so it just doesn't seem like a good investment to bring Oubre back.

I can buy that. However, out of our small forwards, he plays with the most intensity and desire. I probably prefer him over all of our others except maybe Bridges.
Synchronicity and all that jazz, man.

INF has spoken!

Cap agrees, FWIW.

Yep. Can we go sign Brogdon and Mirotic at midnight of free agency and force the Bucks to make the Brogdon contract a S&T? With them just signing Bledsoe, and Middleton likely to opt out to get paid, they have a lot of holes, while still having like $94M on the books for next year. The cap is like 109, so they have 15 to play with.
