Here's what's going to eat at me...if they're going to end up sheiting all over Devin on this...would Devin and the 6 and maybe a future have gotten the #2 out of Memphis and landed us Ja? Ja and Ayton would be a nice place to be standing if the situation gets f'd because of mgt as this plays out ..
I would never have done that deal
Devin by himself was worth more than the #2, imo. Much more and I wouldn't even entertain the thoughts of trading Devin.

a. After we see Ja's numbers this year, I'll remind you of that little comment.
b. That specific deal aside, a planned move not under the gun of a threatened demand for a trade would obviously yield a better outcome.
c. And...if as is possible management buggers this up and that's where we end up...at the pointy end of a trade demand...and we get a bag of peanuts, a second rounder, and rights to a water boy for Devin...again...I'll be happy to remind you of this comment.

We’re not listed. Too pricey for my tastes anyways. That 3rd year would be a no for me.

If the Suns are trying to get lower level PG, I would rather it be for 1 yr or not even go after one. Just roll with the current group.

He wasn't interested in coming here. He probably wants to play for a winner or go home to Chicago.

I’m not interested in a 3 year deal for anyone either unless it’s Brogdon or Russell.

Devin is the face of the franchise at this point. From a marketing and business perspective, burning that bridge would be a huge mistake.
It's not burning a bridge to not give him everything he wants. They need to do what's best for the team, not Booker. Booker is under contract for 5 years.

And btw...if this is where we are...and they hadn't talked/figured this out before the draft...our mgt sucks. You would have had a variety of moves to be made if they simply were going to give up on Devin during the draft if he was in play. Utter horsecrap if that ends up being the case...
Huh?

Micdrop. It would seem they’re on a collision course. That Book is leaking to the media says it all.
Yes, into the toilet. You guys are crazy. Book is not going anywhere. He's starting a brand new 5 year contract. When we start winning, Book will be happy. Not just because we signed his buddy.

The "when we start winning" needs to be, like, this season tho.

It will be. Not half our games yet but at least 50% more than the last couple years.

29 wins would be an increase of more than 50% from last season. Would that be adequate?

Note: 29 wins would still have placed us last in the West this season. By four games.

Man, we finished 14 games behind the 14th seed. I wonder how many teams in NBA history have done that.

We need to be playing meaningful games towards the end of the season. If we're done by January, it's gonna get ugly.

I already told you, Cap. 35+. Yes, it's enough for next year. Playoffs the following year.

If the rumors are leaks from him/his agent...you'll have to eat those words...not my supposition...just the rumor mill...

Right, rumors. I'll wait until I start reading quotes from Booker in the paper. Don't believe everything your read, Vlad.

We acquired Marcus to make Markieff happy. It didn’t result in Kieff being happy. We acquired Zoran to make Goran happy. It didn’t result in Goran being happy. We could invest $100M in DLo to make Book happy, and the result may well be an unhappy Book.
