OK we all are feeling the impending dread of the 3rd quarter, right?

Imagine being an undrafted rookie in your first year. And you already have the refs respect to away with 6 out of every 7 fouls you commit. I can understand his confidence.

Sloppy execution at the end there. Larry Brown used to preach that you need win the first 3 minutes and the last 3 minutes of each quarter.

Seems like a “no shit” philosophy but this series is a perfect example of what that means in practice.

I was thinking yesterday that McGee should do the pre-game thing again before the 3rd quarter. Maybe that'll give them some energy.

Ayton had poor 2nd quarter. Indecesive on alot of his catches at the top of the key. I'm nitpicking a bit because he has 13, but poor turnovers and he probabaly got away with a travel on Holidays three.

Also Reggie Miller is such a dummy. Can he slurp the "Pels" anymore?

Suns poor shooting in this series has let their D collapse and confuse Ayton at the elbow at times.

Solid enough half but the Pels keep hanging around. A few more 3s are going down for us tonight which has helped keep the lead in double digits but we could easily be up 18-20 if a few more go down. Defense is still solid and the Pels aren't even hitting a lot of shots besides Ingram. I liked the different lineups with DA at the 4 - that length seemed to really bother the Pels. Need Payne to keep playing well without fouling. He was starting to cook before he picked up his 3rd foul. Really need that extra ballhandler out there to take the pressure off CP.

Both teams with 22 rebounds apiece.

Pelicans with 7 offensive rebounds to the Suns 3.

I hate how Paul keeps trying to mindfuck Alvarado like he needs to prove something. That guy is younger and less skilled, just make the right play for the team.

Yea...no idea why he continues to try and expand as much energy as possible with him. Just let Bridges or Shamet bring the ball up the court.

The Pels LOVE to run in the 3rd quarter. Suns really gotta focus on not settling for jump shots. Get to the rim, draw fouls, and make them walk it up the court.

Hahaha. He just spoke to the obvious concern for CP3 being our only closer. Pels trying their best to make it hard on him. Green should have started earlier in the game.
