Although now that I re-read it, I notice the language is pretty awkward and I'm not sure whether he's trying to say Paul or LeBron is the utmost competitor and professional, or maybe even being intentionally ambiguous.
Yeah, I see what you're saying. It is ambiguous and I read it as he was saying Paul was a professional.

I don't see any omission of praise. Sarver said that Rich Paul is "the utmost competitor and professional." That sounds like high praise to me. Behind closed doors, though, I'm sure the Rich Paul voodoo doll is all but destroyed.

I do think that Sarver should just keep his mouth shut and not go on local radio talking about these negotiations. He has a bad reputation for being a cheap owner, so for him to go on the air and say that a contract is "fair" brings back old memories and baggage. And it could further alienate Bledsoe. Sarver should just stay quiet until it's resolved.

I find it curious Sarver mentions LeBron. I think he meant that Paul is the competitor and professional, but I'm not sure if Sarver meant anything by bringing up LeBron.

Click the link above. Sarver says he thinks the offer given to Bledsoe is fair etc. It's not so much that he is saying horrible things, more that he just shouldn't talk a lot about the situation in public. He only stands to make it worse.

I think he was trying to publicly distance himself from Gambo's open letter. He tells gambo straight up that he does not agree with it.
Could be that Gambo's letter started with Sarver and now he is doing damage control.

Sarver saying anything publicly is just bad . He should be quiet and let things happen behind closed doors. I'm 100% sure Eric Bledsoe could care less about what some radio host said . That will have zero influence on him, zero. It's not like Eric his agent and the Suns aren't fully aware of the situation. As if Gambo 'dropped knowledge and reason' on EB that he never thought of -- so silly.

I don't understand why some team would give Bledsoe that deal knowing that we will 100% match it. What's the point? It might endear them to Bledsoe and his crappy agent, but it will make the Suns annoyed and could hurt that team in future negotiations with the Suns. No real upside if you ask me.
