Yeah, I can only imagine the gut punch Mavs fans must be feeling right now. Closest thing in my Suns fandom must be when we traded Marion for Shaq.

They are the Real Madrid of basketball. At this point it is a continuous circle because of their history and glory. They can be mediocre, even bad, but they will always be this close to getting themselves another shot. Their pull has no parallel.

Any other trade that goes down prior to the deadline is sure as hell going to pale in comparison to this one. Do the Lakers really trot out Luka and LeBron for the remainder of the season? They’re gonna be surrendering about 150 PPG.

They will have $40M in expiring crap next summer. $55M if you count DFS. And Reeves, Knecht and even some draft picks remaining to build a roster. Honestly if I were them I just would not care about this season. Even see what's out there in a trade for LeBron. Start planning for next year and beyond.

Luka is a top five talent in this league. I still can't believe the Mavericks would even entertain the thought of trading him let alone actually doing it.

Doncic was there everything. They just got to then be finals last season. The Mavericks organization didn't even give themselves a chance to try and run it back. Shams was saying that the Mavericks organization is upset with his lack of conditioning. Dude, whatever. He's one of the best players in the league. Again, top five talent and only 25 years old.

Dallas is going to regret this down the line.
