Lakers move into the top 3.
The first time was Gilliam. Consolation prize after DRob. It didn't work out so great. We're still waiting for the second time.Superbone wrote:There's always a first time. Right? I'm trying hard not to get my hopes up that we'll get into the top 3 but it's hard not to wish/hope/dream!
Had that pick fallen out of the top 5, Brandin Knight may have immediately become a villain here haha.TheOriginalOriginal wrote:Hahaha, fucking Lakers move up.
I think that pick is now well and truly on the tableSunsfan4life wrote:Knicks fall out of the top 3....come in Phil, you know u want to trade that pick.
FTFY.Sunsfan4life wrote:Had that pick fallen out of the top 5, the front office may have immediately become a villain here haha.
Waaaay too early to tell. Knight may not even sign with us, for example. I still don't like the trade, even if it turns out ok.TheOriginalOriginal wrote:Alright, so now that LA has #2, capspace, Clarkson, Kobe and Randle returning next year, how bad does the Knight trade look? Wouldn't be surprised 1 bit if they are better than us next year.
He's a restricted FA. The Suns are going to resign Knight period, especially considering what they gave up for him.Gladiator wrote:Waaaay too early to tell. Knight may not even sign with us, for example. I still don't like the trade, even if it turns out ok.
Haha, so you'll dislike it like no matter what happens?Gladiator wrote:Waaaay too early to tell. Knight may not even sign with us, for example. Yup. For better or worse, I believe Knight is seen as a core piece.iLLmatic wrote:He's a restricted FA. I get that he's a restricted free agent. It is possible though that he signs a contract the Suns don't want to match (highly unlikely but still). The more likely possibility is he signs a contract the Suns don't really want to match (or perhaps shouldn't match), but do anyway because of what they gave up for himiLLmatic wrote:He's a restricted FA. Look I hope it works out well for them. But at the time, there's no way I would have made that trade. In my opinion if it works out great, it's more good luck than a good tradeTheOriginalOriginal wrote:Haha, so you'll dislike it like no matter what happens?Gladiator wrote:Waaaay too early to tell.
