Well, the Hornets just went out and trumped them with a Hansbrough. Tyler Hansbrough.

I don't know who that is.Shabazz wrote:John Jenkins to the Mavs. Good pick up.
"great" is such an understatement.Shabazz wrote:This is great:
It is. I was coming to post it as well. Here's the ESPN tweet:Shabazz wrote:This is great:
This gives Cleveland more time to use money. The contract was guaranteed after August 1st. Instead, now they have two trade exceptions, one of them sizable, to use over one year with the bonus of being able to break it however they want.carey wrote:I don't understand this Cleveland / Portland trade. Cleveland sends the Haywood contract and Mike Miller along with 2 2nd rounders to Portland for a TPE? What the heck does Portland get out of it? They pick up $2.8M of Miller's contract just for 2 late 2nd rounders?
This is just insane. MJ turned down 4 picks, including an UNPROTECTED pick from a Brooklyn team in free fall, just to take Kaminsky? The Boston Celtics offered four first-round picks to the Charlotte Hornets for the chance to move up from No. 16 to No. 9. The Celtics were targeting Justise Winslow while the Hornets were settled on taking Frank Kaminsky.
The Celtics offered the 16th pick, No. 15 (acquired in a prearranged contingency deal with the Atlanta Hawks), one unprotected future Brooklyn pick, and a future first-rounder from either the Memphis Grizzlies or Minnesota Timberwolves.
Some members of the Hornets' front office wanted to do the deal with the Celtics, but Michael Jordan preferred Kaminsky over first rounders outside the lottery.
“If it was such a no-brainer for us, why would another team want to do it?” said Rich Cho.
Ainge was thinking Winslow is going to be one hell of a player, and he may be right.virtual9mm wrote:This is just insane. Edit: And what the hell was Ainge thinking?
MJ is known for drafting goofy white guys. When you hear Morrison do you think of basketball or music?Cap wrote:Ainge was thinking Winslow is going to be one hell of a player, and he may be right.
As for Kaminsky, I just don't see it. MJ isn't exactly known for his drafting savvy.
No thanks.TheOriginalOriginal wrote:We'll trade Kieff for him and the world will implode.
