Don't like the suspension if it means Markieff is still on the team for another week.

Badly mismanaged.

Honestly, at this point just let him sit and maybe even go as far as keeping him away from the team although the NBA PA probably would fight it. No point in giving assets away JUST for him to be moved. Someone will see him as worth the risk once he sits long enough. Maybe even if it takes into the summer. Just whatever loophole you have to take to keep him off the court DO IT!

I just can't see that as serious. I'm sure they are asking but Markieff is no slouch. When happy he is a very solid player. Off court issues end up being overlooked if teams think a guy can help them win.
If no one is biting right now because they think we are desperate then the Suns just need to send Morris home. Keep him away form the team and wait for the trade deadline. A team with hopes of contending will probably give up a future first at that point.

Tell him to stay home permanently. He can't hurt the team as much from there. Trade or no trade.

Good that they suspended him. He should never see the court in our uniform again.

Honestly, I don't think we need to include another asset with him. I think that's just teams posturing hoping that they can get some leverage out of the deal. Based on the very limited minutes he's seen this year, I'd like to see Archie get more time, especially if we happen to change the coach.
Whatever trade may happen, I'm really hoping it frees up time for Warren and Booker, and if Archie is still with the team, him too. Like others have said, I think Len, Warren, and Booker is a good foundation to build from. Maybe if Knight could become a better, more true, point guard, he could be part of that as well.

I think this will be good for Markieff. Give him some time away from the team to think about how he wants to present himself as a member of this winning and proud organization. He needs to take cues from our management, coaches and teammates on how to be a professional and play team basketball.

I'm not giving up another asset to get rid of him. He's talented, has a good contract and I'd rather sit him and wait to see how his legal issues turn out and then trade him after their cleared up, or void his contract if he is sentenced to time in the pokey (which isn't that likely).

Maybe this is what Markieff has been looking all along. Some time in solitude, away from the pressure of being the remaining face of the franchise without Marcus to share the burden.

How about Markieff for Taj Gibson ? Anyone cool with that ?
It works on ESPN trade machine.

I am with the "sit him" sentiment. As 'bazz said, we completely mismanaged this and it is coming back to blow up in our faces. We should have had a three tier plan when we went after LA, and this should have been an expected outcome.

Great. Now he's approaching Robert Horry territory.

Let's just hope he doesn't go on to win 7 championships...
PS--Yes, I know 2 of Horry's rings came before he was here, but still...

Don't know how you can sit a guy that has such a positive influence on his teammates and the young guys without expecting it to have negative repricusions. Not sure how much we can afford losing chemistry by keeping a close teammate and great friend to Archie and TJ away from the team. But I hope he learns his lesson (and his immediate apology on Twitter appears that way) and his time away is brief.

Memo to Suns management - send Markieff home until he is traded! Tell him not to show up. He should never wear this uniform again.
