Would have loved had she asked the same question about DA.

I don't really like commenting on games I don't watch as highlights or often misleading
As I see everyone continue to debate Ayton's mindset/aggression
One thing I am still noticing even in the buckets he is getting is the ball security. Still a major concern for me how it just seems like he is going to fumble it may it be backing down in the post or just a catch
I know folks doing the name brand thing when looking at Argentina but tomorrow is for sure going to be interesting
Wish I could watch it
They are not the juggernaut of old but these FIBA games with "Homecourt" be not for the faint of heart lol
After that L, they gonna be much more aggressive and the crowd more hostile
Gotta see how the refs control that and obviously how DA handles himself

DA clips and a Gordon 3 from like 35ft. DA had 8 and 9, EG had 13 against Uruguay.

Ayton is going to have a lot more freedom on the Suns with Book, Beal, and Durant on the court.

Before both of his passes in this one possession, he has 5 players focused on him defensively

This Final is predictably wild. The Argentinians are a bunch of foul baiting floppers and the officials whistle is all over the place.

I've only watched the 2nd quarter, but Ayton has been mostly invisible and getting pushed around a lot.

Not looking good for the Bahamas at the end of 3, down by 4.
Gordon has been the only guy to create offense and he's been frustrated by the officials. Travis Munnings has done most of the dirty work to keep the Bahamas from being completely run out.
Hield has been terrible and Ayton continues to struggle with overcoming the Argentinians physical defense.

This Caffaro has been giving Ayton trouble for the two quarters I've watched but he just picked up a 4th foul.

Ah yes, there’s the puss we know. Content to let contested midrange jumpers fly without the slightest hint of competitive drive or testicular activity

That's what I was saying bro lol
Argentina at Home was always gonna be shenanigans and a tough Final
Again, wish I could have seen more than just highlights
EG was Ginormous, clutch buckets
DA rebounds is nothing to sneeze at but again being box score analyst is always tricky. I would hope he held down the paint well even if in the clips it still looks like too many jab-jab take a middy misses....
Seems he was intent on dunking in the paint tho

Would it kill you guys to tell us who won? Just looked it up and the Bahamas came back for the victory, 82-75. Apparently, Gordon had a late barrage of 3s.
Ayton had 10 points on 5-14 shooting and 0-2 from 3 but he did have a huge 21 boards and one assist in 38 minutes.

Does this look familiar? Ayton pushed out of bounds where he can only watch.

This kind of stuff happened way too much, IMO. I'm sure the box score watchers will try to paint a different picture.

I missed the last 10 minutes or so and only now got back to a computer. I'm going to check out a replay right now.

Congrats to the Bahamas team (and the Suns players on it), who now advance to a Qualifying Tournament next July with a chance to go on and play in Paris at the next Olympic Games. Would be very cool to see that happen.
And since we're in the Ayton thread (how does this thing keep going on??) I'll point out one teeny, tiny area where he could still maybe use a little work. Looking at total free throw attempts, across similar minutes, for the Sunhamians: 3-pt specialist Eric Gordon, 24 in 4 games; 7-footer Deandre Ayton: 3.

I missed it, but it looks like it was a great game.

This tournament shows me that DA isn’t serious about developing his offensive or defensive game. Couldn’t flash anything new consistently against no-names even.
Didn’t see a 3 ball. Didn’t see any consistent drives with the ball. No attacking the basket (3 FTAs are you kidding me?) nada
