Jamaal Crawford was spotted at TSR arena today......
He opted out of the Wolves because he wasn’t getting enough PT at 20 mpg. Not sure where he fits here with all the wings we have. Not really a PG

Weird he hasn't been picked up, or maybe he's turned down offers. He can play some point and shoot the hell out of the ball. It would be tough for him to get minutes tho.

It wasn't the right situation for him. He wasn't being used correctly in the Min offense. Hopefully it's the right situation for him here, because when it is, he plays well. 3 time 6MOY.

I’d rather Bridges, Jackson, Warren, Ariza and Booker got all the minutes at the 2/3.
Pass on anyone that is not a 1 or a 4 at this point.

I wonder if we're considering picking up Crawford and starting him at the point? Crawford/Booker would be lethal offensively. Defensively on the other hand...

Pretty impressive that Gambo has waited this long to ask that question

I can totally imagine Sarver telling James Jones to fly Crawford in and Jones just putting his head down and realizing what he's gotten himself into.

All true, but also 38-years-old.

38?! I had no idea he was that old. Maybe we’re bringing him in as a shooting coach.

Beat me to it by about an hour.
Crawford would be an absolutely terrible signing.

Jamal Crawford. F*ck it. Sign him to a minimum. The Suns need a solid offense until the trade deadline when teams aren’t bending Sarver a rail. Running him at point is better than Shaq or Canaan. Booker and Ayton are gonna eat with 3 shooters on the floor. It’s just that on defense, the team is gonna get stink. I’d rather have Crawford play 28 mpg than see them make a panic move that mortgages the future. It’ll still be progress from last year. I’m really hoping that Rozier doesn’t extend with Boston and Ainge is forced to trade him for a protected pick.

Earl Watson campaigned to start Devin Booker over Brandon Knight

:
"It was some great debates," Watson said of the Brandon Knight vs. Devin Booker discussion. "It wasn't just Ryan McDonough. I had coaches on my staff that didn't believe it was time for Devin to take over the starting 2-guard role. I knew that when you build a program, the Brandon Knight-Eric Bledsoe backcourt can only take you so far and it wasn't even to the playoffs. It's nothing against that combination, but you had to mix it up and you had to build hope.
https://www.azcentral.com/story/sports/ ... 619546002/
“There’s always going to be major push back when you pay the backcourt close to $140 million, and you have this new young coach telling you ‘but, this kid right here straight out of Kentucky who came off the bench should be the starter.’ There was major push back and confusion..."

Sounds like the combo GM Sarver tried with Blanks and Babby.

Sounds like Earl Watson is ready to sucker another dumb owner into giving him a job.
