I definitely don't miss the Mike James era, but this is entertaining to watch. I'm glad he seems to be doing fine in Europe. It's probably the best place for him to succeed.

I don’t think Minny should be getting a first round pick for Wiggins. I kinda get taking a flyer on him if all you’re giving up is bad contracts to match, but he’s not worth additional assets.

That Wiggins deal is the perfect example of a team being forced to overpay for it's own high draft pick when just about everyone knew he wouldn't live up to that deal.

I read that Al Horford is opting out, Is he going somewhere else, or do y'all think he will resign with the Celtics for a longer deal?

I’ve heard he’s resigning on a longer deal for less annual money.

I imagine he'd re-up with the Celts but who knows what they're doing this offseason.

I would be happy to sign Horford away from the Celts. Then get Rubio on the MLE, resign Oubre and Holmes. Hopefully traded away Warren and Jackson and picked Clarke and Cheatham in the draft would have to happen first. That would be a good off-season.

I've always seen Horford as a PF but he's been playing C most of his career. He'd be a great vet to add but I doubt he'd want to come here.

Worst case would be him taking less to sign with the Warriors. He'd be a great fit there.

I really think that Horford and Ayton could work well with each other. Both can probably switch between the 5 & 4. He probably wouldn't come here, but I would like that over DLo, and I like DLo.

I love Horford. He's one of those guys I really wanted in the draft, and I still feel like he "should" have been a Sun. But I don't think he is opting out of 30 million to come here.

Maybe he goes somewhere he thinks he can get a ring, or maybe he resigns with the Cs for longer. I just don't know and I don't think the media knows anything this summer either. :)

I don't know if it's realistic. He's opting out to sign longer at $20 mil per w/ Celts, but he could walk to better payday.

I'd rather us not give a guy a payday. Did that with Ariza.

I think he's not a free agent in play in the conventional sense. I think he likes being a Celtic and wants to retire there. He opted out so they could give him more total dollars spread over multiple years.

Not sure that’s a great move for Barnes. He won’t get that much money. Maybe has a deal in place with sacramento

Players are thinking this is going to be 2016 all over again because there are numerous teams with cap space. I think they'll find that teams have learned their lesson and won't be dishing out insane deals to mediocre players this time around.

I think there will be a lot of 1+1 deals at high dollar amounts.

If Tyler wants to opt out for a longer term deal (like give back his 19 for this season but take 10 for the next 3), what would you say if you were James Jones? I don't see him getting a multi year contract in the 10 million range after this season.

Wouldn't that be nice?

I'd pass. I'd rather just pay him and be done with it. I would hope Okobo or Melton would be ready to take over backup duties by 2020-2021
