It's nights like this that have me wondering why I follow this team.

I don't think Bobby is right. We save a bit from moving down from 6 to 11 but we also add the salary of #24, Saric ($3.5M) and Baynes ($5.4M) We basically spent everything we saved by moving Warren with the #32. There were much better ways to accomplish what Jones did tonight and we still don't have a veteran PG nor do we have the money to go get a good one.

Rubio it is...that’s why we added all these shooters

Draft picks went from 5.8 million to 6.2 for 11/24. So we move Warren at 10.9 and added 9.3 million in salary. So we go from 10.8 to 12.4? But we also added a player, so take off the minimum salary charge. So 13.2 I believe?

I'm going to wait for David's updated cap sheet after the draft before I get too in depth. It's not nearly as rosy as we all thought when we heard about Warren being traded though. We will still need to salary dump Josh with a pick (or two) then stretch Tyler Johnson which will hurt. $19M stretched (double remaining plus 2 is 4 years so we'd cut about $14M off there.) If you think a Russell or Brogdon or whoever's salary starts at $27M then we'd be able to fit it in there.

Yeah, there are so many other things I can be spending my time/energy on besides this team—it’s nights like tonight that really make me wonder what the benefit is of sticking around.

Saric + Cameron + Baynes + Jerome = 14.2 million
We could have almost had Randle instead of garbage. Lol.

I'm satisfied with Saric (formerly with Monty in Philadelphia when he put up great numbers) and Jerome is going to surprise. We're going to be needing Cameron to blow us away.
We could have almost had Randle instead of garbage. Lol.
This may be unpopular tonight, but I've already had a glass of Japanese whiskey, so--I would rather be paying those 4 guys 14.2 than paying just Randle 20.

Ok, just added it all up, Counting Booker, Johnson, Ayton, Jackson, Baynes, Bridges, Saric, Okobo, Melton, Johnson, Jerome, and Oubre’s cap hold, we’re at 94.9 million and should have 14.1 million in space.
Dumping Jackson gets us to 21.1
Stretching Johnson would get us to 33-34 million.
Stretching Johnson without dumping Jackson puts us at 26-27 million. Still in max for D-Lo/Brogdon range

Agree. Randle at $20 million would kill me. He'd kill Ayton's development.
