I like Turner as a rim protector. He’s better than Ayton for sure. He’s not as strong, so maybe he doesn’t hold up as well 1on1, but I’ll take the trade off for his better offense.
But here’s Turners last 5 years in blocks: 2.7, 2.1, 3.4, 2.8, 2.3

As you say he is definitely an upgrade on offense and his blocking averages are decent too. We would lose some rebounding though (only 7.5 this season) so we'd need to bolster that from other positions.

I'd still go MitchRob. I like his defense and rebounding and he's the kind of big KD likes playing with. You're going to be limited tho with his offense and FT shooting.

It seems like all these trade leaks are coming from the suns to make Ayton look better

And they forgot to tell Gambo to stop denying them?

Gambo says at least 5 teams are interested in trading for Ayton. Suns will listen to offers, but sounds like DA is more likely to remain in Phoenix than be traded (which is what I said last week).

Gambo is using his Jason Kidd contact to refute it

How we all feel about Ayton aside, if this is true, I'm really curious what the Suns' plan is to fix the roster. Trading Ayton is one of the only avenues to address the depth issues. I'm sure players want to play with Book and KD, but they're not all signing for the minimum to do it.

They either trade Ayton for a big player or for a pick and depth. I think the only way Ayton stays is if there are no good deals or the new coach wants a shot at Ayton.

Really don't see how the Suns make any notable changes holding on to Ayton and Paul. Not sure hiw you upgrade your role guys with zero money.
New coach better believe in miracles.

I don't know why I didn't think of this in my other Ayton trade possibilities, but Detroit makes a ton of sense. Duren, Bogdanovich and Burks for Ayton and Shamet - or something like that. I'd love to find a way to get Beef Stew also.
Detroit already has 2 other centers, which complicates things, but they're at least giving up one in the trade.

I'm convinced we could play a LOT better with the current roster than we showed in the Denver series. Can't just ISO Book and Durant and have the other guys standing around doing nothing. We need all five involved in the offense. And if the new coach could light a fire under Ayton, that would make the biggest difference but I too feel like that is futile although I'll continue to hold out hope.

Lee/Payne/Ross all shoot at a pretty good clip.

Not when it mattered they didn't. If the same guys are making up the bench next season, nothing is changing.

Nothing? OK. Probably not enough but nothing changes with a different vision and way of playing the game? Team ball (GSW style) versus all isos and nothing changes? Nothing?

No I don't believe so, this team needs more talent. Unless Spo walks through that door, I have no faith in the bench improving, they aren't good players.

could change things.
