He’s had a bad year from 3, but his 2 point percentages are right in line. His TS% is actually above his career average.JeremyG wrote: ↑Sun Apr 13, 2025 9:42 amWhy should his shooting percentages drop? Shouldn’t they be better with KD and Beal? You would think he would be way more open.Mori Chu wrote: ↑Sun Apr 13, 2025 7:56 amI would understand some of y'all's pessimism about Booker more if we hadn't already successfully built a title contender around him just a few years ago. Book isn't some good-stats, bad-team guy who cannot win. He is capable of being the leading scorer on a title team. You just need the right players with him. And we've now learned, putting two other max-contract score-first players with him and filling out the rest of the roster with minimum guys and exception guys and other riffraff, is not the way to do it.
Of course Booker's stats are a bit down this year; he's playing with two guys who are almost completely redundant with his role. If anything it's admirable that his stats haven't dropped more than they have despite KD and Beal being out there. Just because Book doesn't work well with him and KD and Beal eating up 99% of our cap doesn't mean Book sucks or is washed.

Maybe I need more than one team. My odds are really low to ever get a championship at this point. And according to AI, I'll never see one in my lifetime even if I live another 40 years.

Re: Are The Suns Cursed? Book it!
1. fired the year after getting the Suns within 2 games of a championship
2. fired 2 years after winning a championship with Lakers
3. fired 2 years after winning a championship with Bucks
next coach will be Booker's 8th in 11 seasons
hmmm, is it time to consider that it's Booker-ball and the coach's can't reign it in because, well, you know what will happen to them???

Re: Are The Suns Cursed? Book it!
here's another axe grind
in 11 seasons, the only 2 successful ones was when Booker-ball was replaced with Paul-all
the last 2 was a combo of Booker-ball and KD-ball that featured isolation plays in the clutch
and the evidence is the team going from the best clutch team in basketball under Chris Paul ball to one of the worst in the last 2 (except the first 10 games of this season when the emphasize was more on KD ball and Book got depressed with winning that way)

oh, and why don't you address the axe that fell on 7 coaches in Booker's 10 years?
and mgmt and 50 or so players
i'd say the AXE cuts both ways
but it didn't since the culture of the Suns org started prioritizing marketing over product quality and fanboys lapped it up like koolaid

on sports radio, Wolf said he could make the case (for the Suns org, obviously) that the whole problem with the Suns was Bud
now, that's funny
now, that's funny

Again, I was on the trade Booker bandwagon 2 years ago, he's always been limited, but he's not the reason that the teams around him were mostly garbage until Paul got to Phoenix. Bad drafting, bad coaching, bad FA signings aren't in his control.1tinsoldier wrote: ↑Mon Apr 14, 2025 6:27 pmoh, and why don't you address the axe that fell on 7 coaches in Booker's 10 years?

This is worse than the All About Ayton thread. This is vile
Also- I will formally announce that this organization and team would be better now and set up for the future better if we never made that series of God awful trades.
I would love to have DA and TOOMANY AND the first round pick it took to get rid of Nurk over the garbage can that was Nurk and "glorified Troy Daniels" Grayson Allen.
I would much rather have a 40 year old CP3 than a $50M Beal. KD wasn't really the mistake even if I hate his guts. The destruction of this team came with these other two deals that tanked our talent on rotation spots #3-6 and killed our flexibility

I agree…we gave up too much for KD, but if we don’t botch every move afterwards, we had a shot. That first Book/KD team went toe to toe with the eventual champs until they just didn’t have healthy nba players left.
