We’re also not in the same situation as GS at all. Booker isn’t 37 and at the end of his career.
I don't even buy the argument being put forward by Kerr there. Maybe the first few years of Kuminga's career were affected by being on a win-now Warriors team. But the last year or two, they have been mediocre and desperate. If Kuminga had been good, he would have gotten minutes and a role. Plenty of other young guys developed there. And especially once Jimmy went down, they could have used Kuminga as a second scorer. But he doesn't have it in him. Maybe he will find a way to get better on a new team. But I think Kerr was just being nice and that they'd had enough of him because he sucked.

He was good at times…what young guys developed there?

This trade deadline feels like end of financial year, with Gms being more like accountants trading marginal guys for savings. Many trades but not all that interesting bar a few.

A lot of teams that have already moved on and focusing on their 2026-27 roster. None of the contenders really did anything of note.

Random thoughts:
I think Kuminga is a weird fit next to Jalen Johnson; it feels like they are the same player, just Jalen is a 1000X better.
I'm in disbelief that the Bucks turned Nick Richards into Ousmane Dieng.
Chicago now has Rob Dillingham, Jaden Ivey, Tre Jones, Collin Sexton, AND Anfernee Simons. What?

Probably good news for anyone worried someone was gonna steal Gillespie

Lakers might steal him. They are gathering a crew of white boys over there!

I was worried most about the Hawks, I think CJ is expiring.

You want to keep Gillespie, mark Williams and Goodwin by any chance? To sign all of them or to sign most of them and still stay out of the 2nd apron, you gonna have to shed money. That’s why you do it.

What's the status of the apron draft penalty if you get out of it for the rest of this season, then go back into it next season? Does it reset? Ishbia did say in a recent interview he'd be willing to spend over the apron if it makes sense.

Exactly.
It doesn't help that you have $80 million tied up in two starting shooting guards and you're not getting much ROI.

Books been alright, he’s had a few nicks, not sure he’s worth the $50m. Green on the other hand has been a 0.

You mean 100 mil on 3 shooting guards, one of whom is currently out for the season for the clippers…
