Are we going to get something with the Miami pick that's better than Dinwiddie? I think I'd take him over the mid to late 1st PG prospects (Shamet, Milton, Carter)

Some of those are going to fall into the 2nd round. Mitchell Robinson may end up being a steal with the Miami pick...or he could be a total waste.

Not the Miami pick. Maybe the Milwaukee pick. Three second round picks would be even better.
Dinwiddie's shot is too shakey to be giving up picks for him.

I am starting to think that the Suns should hang onto as many assets as possible, because I think that they'll have a great shot at a top 3 pick. I wonder if there's any chance that they could somehow work out a trade to trade down -- let's say -- from the #1 pick to a lower top 5 pick -- in return for getting a second pick in the top 7. In this case, the Suns would have to have many other good to decent assets as sweeteners.

Would the Suns even want to trade down, especially with how good Doncic is looking? I'm not sure, but there's so many good players in the top 7 that it might be worth looking into getting a two-fer.

You'd kinda need one of those two to be Doncic or Trae. I guess you could take Porter and then add a 5 like JJJ/Carter/Bamba

Absolutely not Porter unless we somehow drop out of the top 10

It depends on how his back checks out but I think he could be a fantastic offensive player.

I have a bad feeling about this draft. Should've traded for a 2nd lotto this past summer.

We got one for Nash, then threw it away. We don't have another Nash to trade.

Because of his back or you don't like him as a prospect?

The back worries me a bit and not seeing him play in college is another issue. But I think he could be interesting if we're in that 6/7 range and Doncic/Ayton/Bagley/JJJ are off the board. I'm basing this off other people's scouting reports though as I have only seen high school highlights.

His back won’t check out. He will almost certainly have problems down the road. Whoever picks him will ultimately be disappointed, maybe not his rookie year maybe not even for a few years, but it will happen.

I think you're exaggerating his back problems. You may be right, but he could also have no issues in the future. The procedure he had isn't that bad. He's not the first athlete to have it done. Plenty have had it without issues.

He looked very underwhelming at the Nike Hoop Summit.
