Or at least, not without multiple other assets, of which we have very few. And even if they would consider it, I feel like trading Booker for some other star, an older one in this case, just leaves us in the same place we are now, topped out without enough talent to contend, with no picks and no cap space and therefore not much way to get any better.

The scenario involved trading KD to Houston for our picks (and perhaps we could then trade Green for more firsts). We would be preventing them from trading for Giannis, which would kill any chance of a KD to Houston deal.

Embiid has played in only half of their games since he was drafted. He literally averages 41 games a season.

Embiid has played in only half of their games since he was drafted. He literally averages 41 games a season.
But we are used to our number one pick playing hard in half our games.

He's got no knees left, he's cooked. Russ won an MVP, KD won an MVP, doesn't do much for me.

He’s 31, not turning 37 like those two. And he won MVP only 2 years ago. I’m just saying I would take the chance over trading for somebody like Randle or Anunoby, especially if you could get a couple good picks as well.

Giannis also depends on physical attributes more than most other stars. As he loses his agility he will have to depend more on raw strength. It worked for Shaq until the league changed. Curious how it will work for Giannis at C.

Giannis will finish in the top four of the MVP voting for what will be the 7th straight year this year, I'm not to concerned with him getting old anytime soon. At worst he's the 3rd best player in the NBA right now.
Now getting him would be the issue. It would probably take Booker and whatever draft picks they can get in a deal for Durant. Plus, Milwaukee would have to want to trade him and be willing to trade big for small.
