Ayton may be the only starter that we have that's a plus for his position in sprint speed. Hard to run more with the slowest lineup in the NBA.

I’m just stating the present. I don’t think anyone disagrees that Ayton has a more promising future. Just that right now, this season, Nurkic might do some things better than Ayton
I'm including this season in "the future." Your "present" is actually the past (last year).

When Nurkic has to defend in the post, maybe he's better than Ayton. But if you're playing against Nurkic, he's easy to scheme of the floor. Pull him up top with a screen and it's a 5-on-4 every time.

And like JG said. He's old and broken and he's not getting more mobile.
Which is why I’d consider him on the 2nd unit…don’t let him be out there when guys can kill him for being in a deep drop

It’s the most recent season and deals with actual facts though…not guesses. Neither of us actually know whether Nurkic declines this year or not. He is still only 29

Sprint speed doesn’t matter if you never sprint…remember how strange it was to see Ayton sprint in that fiba game? It’s because he never did it for the suns.

I agree... I'm not for this trade and like Aytons upside more; regardless of how much he frustrates me.

That's about as close as I can get to making the numbers work and being somewhat realistic.

Is Lee actually tradable 10/5? I wouldn’t think he’s tradable until 12/15

Yeah, maybe 10/5 is wrong. Spotrac says 12/15.

Thybulle can veto the deal but he has a 15% kicker.

I really like this for the Suns.

Who says no? (besides Dame)

I think I like the idea of Nas Little more than the actual player. He’s kind of on the NBA fringe like a lot of other non-shooting defensive wings (Stanley Johnson, Winslow).

I'm a bit guilty of that as well, but I think his size and tools on the wing would be a better fit than another shooter who's a liability elsewhere like Robinson. Caleb Martin would be my first choice from Miami and Little from Portland because I can't figure out how the Suns could bring in Simons with Nurkic.

Caleb Martin would be intriguing, but we’d be setting ourselves up to get drop defense exposed in the post season with a center as immobile as Nurkic. If Toronto rather than Miami gets the prize they have more interesting bigs to deal along with Nurk.

I’m with the others who are worried by Gambo not only not shutting this down, but already going in PR mode to sell us on Nurk, and following it up with expectation of Dame traded within 24 hours. Guess we should prepare to be underwhelmed in advance.

You can just bench Nurkic in the playoffs. Play Eubanks

There was never a chance to get good value for Ayton once he signed that max deal.

We can get plenty of value out of Ayton's max deal: by keeping him and playing him 36 minutes per game.

Nurk and Scoot works. Let’s do that.
