Monty is basically Doc Rivers now. Man cannot close or make adjustments. Crap. I really like the guy.
It was too hard to think he had to make major changes in given how successful the team was. They needed to make major adjustments to their offensive sets with CP3 being toast. And running the same set that just took Book out as well. Point Book would have been better than this.

Ayton plays soft and passively and thinks he should be treated like a star by Monty. Piss off.

Yeah, as much as I have defended him over the years, hard to justify a max salary after that one, especially if the case was built upon your playoff prowess.

Anyone got video of this? I turned this game off and stopped the recording.

So if we trade everybody who was disappointing this offseason we're going into next season with Aaron Holiday, Ish Wainright and no coaching staff.
So maybe we should just dial back the trade talk for a while and step back take a deep breath.

Booker knows Ayton's not the guy. I just wish he'd have accepted that before the draft (allegedly).

When did this happen? Maybe there is some heart and drive in there somewhere.

I think Book-CP3-Mikal, probably Crowder and maybe even CamJ are staying. Everyone else… idk what’s going to happen. I’m like 75% sure Ayton is gone.

I’m at 90% sure he’s gone, but with the caveat that it might take until the deadline.

No way they can go into the season with him in the roster just a I replace him. Can't see that.

If he signs an offer sheet do we just let him walk? If we match we have to start the season with him

Can you really just let the only number 1 pick in franchise history walk?

What's the alternative, overpayment for inconsistent production. One of the best thing a team can do is know when to cut it's losses.

Ya that’s kinda my point, absolutely have to match any offer. Then you trade him later if you don’t want him. Would have to go into the season with him on the roster.

A sign and trade is the only option. Anything less would be uncivilized.

I really want more on this Monte/Ayton confrontation. Ayton only played 17 minutes in the game. Booker, Bridges and Paul all played over 30.
