Game Day: Thunder (32-25) @ Suns (30-28), Thurs 2/26/15

After that big win over OKC, we are still 10th in the West and 1.5 games back of OKC for 8th. Pretty discouraging. This horrible stretch over the last 10 games will probably cost us a playoff spot.

Some folks here would probably prefer for us to miss the playoffs and get a lottery pick. But there's no way our pick will move up, so I'd rather just get the postseason reps for guys like Bledsoe and Markieff to let them learn what it's like on the bigger stage.

Westbrook is an unbelievable talent, pure and simple. And those that want to try and rationalize Dragic being better...well, I don't know what to tell you.
One mark of a great, smart and disciplined team is how well they execute out of timeouts. Larry Brown's teams almost always scored off out of bounds plays. They weren't just running a play to get the ball in bounds, they executed. It takes practice, focus and repetition.

We're just not 1 of the best 8 in the west right now. Thats why I think I enjoyed last nights game so much...because win or lose, I don't think we're going to make it so I was more enjoying the fact that we were playing so well against top competition without really worrying about a W or L (ofcourse you want to win though).Mori Chu wrote:After that big win over OKC, we are still 10th in the West and 1.5 games back of OKC for 8th. I thought going into this yr we'd make it as 7th or 8th but thought the mavs would take a step back. Once it was evident they weren't I was pretty sure we weren't going to make it. OKC just as more talent then we do. Still, despite what others may say, we are in position to get better this off-season with space and picks and plenty of young players and that is encouraging.

“Kobe had said (after the play) I wasn’t hugged enough as a child,” Bell recalled. “My mom kind of found him after the instance and we had beat them and offered him a hug in the bowels of the Phoenix arena. She really feels a part of that story.”

I remember this same kind post and accusations when Kerr left and Sarver played GM in 2010. I also remember the same kind of post after the Dragic/Aaron Brooks deadline deal. And I remember this kind of post after we (Blanks) signed Beasley. And I remember this kind of post when Gentry was fired and Lindsey freaking Hunter was named interim head coach.OE32 wrote: Sorry, maybe I'm being a bit sensitive to the negativity gone wild around here...Sorry for picking on you out of all the Debbies around here.

Yea but this time it's different.

Shel, you are hilarious!

Also, I don't think this team has much in common with the Hunter-Beasley-Blanks squad.•The NBA rescinded the technical foul that Suns forward Marcus Morris received in Wednesday night's game at Denver. Morris, who has seven technical fouls this season, was talking to Hornacek in the second quarter when he received the technical foul.
Go Suns!

So in other words, status quo for everyone involved.INFORMER wrote:I remember this same kind post and accusations when Kerr left and Sarver played GM in 2010. INF needs the freedom to write his on chapter.

Whatever. I hated Sarver's moves that summer and everyone hated the Brooks deal. Almost everyone hated the Beasley deal - I was okay with giving the guy a chance, but I was wrong. The Gentry firing honestly didn't matter, except that we lost more games and probably got a higher pick as a result.INFORMER wrote:I remember this same kind post and accusations when Kerr left and Sarver played GM in 2010. Totally cool with disagreeing with you. As I've said, we'll see.

Only Rich Paul could secure that freedom for me.Mori Chu wrote:INF needs the freedom to write his on chapter.

I wasn't calling into question your position on any of those deals. With each and every one of those moves there were plenty of posters chastising others for being "Debbie Downers," "Negative Nanicies," and for acting like "the sky is falling." It's unfortunately the natural order of things on just about every iteration of a Suns message board (and probably any message board). And really, it's weak.OE32 wrote: Whatever. I give legitimate reasons for every negative view I have. I think most posters here do. Sure you get 1 or 2 posters that just hate for no discernible logical reason. But I think that's rare enough to where we don't have to cry about negativity.

Of course then Mori will hold a press conference and claim that the 5 years is a win for him and he thinks the contract will have good value going forward.

Wait - Mori … why couldn't the Suns move up in the lottery? Is that a factual thing or just bad luck and history thing?
