He's exerting whatever pressure he can on the team that he can to make sure they put the best team they can out on the court now.
You don't understand rich people very well. Its about power and its about winning. LeBron wants to control the league. The money is just a way of keeping score.

That is exactly what he said.

MKG gets an extension. He's making Bledsoe/Knight money now. 4/$52M

I am sure you all have heard by now, but Darryl Dawkins died today at 58.

My favorite snippet...
— During the 1980 NBA Finals, Sixers Coach Billy Cunningham took a call from an angry sneaker executive who said Dawkins was wearing a Nike shoe on one foot and a Pony shoe on the other. He had signed a contract with both.

His love for kids was legendary. One summer, he worked at 85 basketball camps.

Dawkins was unique. A big kid who never quite grew up. And that was a good thing, because he saw the world in child-like wonder. He drove coaches nuts because he rarely tapped his potential.

As lovable as he was, very few wanted to cross him, as he was inordinately strong. Mo Lucas was one of the few guys who took him on in the Portland-Philly series in the late 70s. After the fight and his ejection, Dawkins ripped a urinal out of the wall in the dressing room. Think how hard that is to do without a prybar and sledgehammer ...
Well, so much for hopes and dreams ...

He probably never lifted a weight in his life either. It's incredible to me how some guys are just blessed genetically like that.

Your 2k16 Suns:

Sell Melo and Cousins on playing here with Chandler, Bledsoe, Booker, PJ and Weems.

Send Len, Knight, pick(s) for Cousins.
TJ Warren, Kieff (or his value from another team), Goodwin, picks and filler to the Knicks.

Sign Boozer to play backup PF. Sign another backup C.

???

Profit

I can't imagine a worse future than rooting for Melo. But it probably isn't any worse than the present.

I would have a really hard time rooting for Melo. I also think he's one of those players who will break down early. He never looks like he's in good shape, and he shows up fat to start every season. I think he'll drop off a lot in his production in a few years.

Well, that would just never happen for me. I can't ever root for the awful human that is Kobe.
