Gambo has had a pretty good run with scoops this year. He deserves his flowers.
a broken clock is even right 2 times a day... I just think he swings and misses way too often.
Wow, the standards expected here are wild on trying to report stuff they have ZERO control over themselves. You do realize that it could be emminent, and the very next second the whole thing could blow up, right? We all need to relax on thinking they need to be prophets without blemish.

Gambo is already proven wrong. He said “imminent” yesterday.
How accurate was Woj when he said Brooklyn wouldn’t trade KD at the deadline?
We are rapidly nearing that "24 hours" mark.
You flipped on Gambo fast. You’ve been his biggest supporter when he says Ayton won’t be traded.
It wasn’t about being his supporter (I like Gambo, for the record, always have). It was that what he said (again, starting in mid-June, not before that) was in line with/supported the facts as I knew them. And he was saying concrete things based on specific sources (Vogel for example). Now he’s essentially just saying the Suns will listen to offers from Portland.

It could be imminent and the very next second blow up. If it’s eminent they just take what they need and give you fair value, so there are no negotiations to blow up.

No, I don’t have anything better to be doing than posting this crap, why?

How about this?
Nets- Lillard, Ish

Blazers- Ayton, Spencer Dinwiddie, Cam Thomas, Royce O’Neal, multiple 1st from Nets

Suns- Dorian Finney-Smith, Nurkic, multiple 2nds from Blazers

Nobody knows what else is coming…how about this, who says no?

Indy gets Tyler Herro and Ish Wainright
Miami gets Dame and Hield
Portland gets Ayton, Lowry, Jovic, and 4 1sts(3 from Miami and 1 from Indy)
Phoenix gets Nurkic, Martin, and McConnell

Suns would have to release someone or include someone else in the trade(think Goodwin and Camara are only other tradable guys right now). Can we convert Camara to a 2-way?
I don't think Miami would do that. Herro isn't Mikal, but the guy could still very likely average 30ppg soon. He's only 23. And they'd be giving up their best role player and a really good prospect with 3 1st rounders? That's on par with KD value.

I think there's a good chance Lillard would be on his way to Phoenix if the Suns hadn't made the deal for Beal earlier in the Summer.

I'm probably drinking the kool-aid a bit, but I'm pretty sure I'd rather have Beal.

You think Ayton/Paul would’ve been enough? Without picks?

Maybe..? Let's wait to see who actually ends up in Portland.

With their contracts I’d say probably not.. neither one is really team friendly if they’re trying to rebuild.

I think any of these guys who have sources are bound to look foolish if they make specific claims right now. If it ends up being a 3 or 4 team deal, there is too many moving parts to nail it. I have to believe something was said yesterday that made it seem close to completion given the “24 hours” and Nurkic PR campaign. Perhaps things have changed, again. We have Cronin’s and Lillard’s appointed mouthpieces now making new statements. A lot of late stage posturing.

We should all do something nice for Jeremy if Ayton is gone this week.

I'm trying to take the 10,000 foot perspective...

Everyone knows the Suns have tried to look for an Ayton trade for at least the last 2 years or were at least somewhat proactive in testing his market value. It's perfectly reasonable for teams to call the Suns about Ayton now when trying to make other deals work, and that's not to say the Suns are eager to make the move.

I think they're fine with keeping Ayton and also fine with moving on if the juice is worth the squeeze. Maybe they'll consider a cap oriented deal down the line if Ayton isn't a part of a Lillard trade and it just isn't working with the new team and staff, but I'm not worried about the "flexibility" option being pursued right now. To be clear, Nurkic and cap relief would qualify as that kind of move.

Well, I already bought some stuff to get to Jeremy if we ever have a get together I can make...ideally I'd love to get DA to autograph it THEN give it to him, but not sure how to get that done...:D...
