Barton may be a little redundant with TJ.
I don't think that is accurate. TJ isn't an effective passer. Barton is. And a reliable ball-handler. The two are very different.

That's exactly my thing
Jackson value was being another scoring threat off Kawhi/PG and he did well
That's a usage role though and iirc most of that is with him being the initiator in the pick n roll. Again as another point of attack to take pressure off their All Star wings
Think we need a wing defender more than a scorer hence y Holiday is my pick at the moment
I wouldn't even mind him starting for us....

Defense, shooting, doesn't need the ball to be effective

I like Holiday as a target as well, but he may not be that good anymore.

I have to begrudgingly agree here. They killed it. They also set themselves up well for next season.

The Western Conference is going to be so entertaining this last stretch. Lakers, Suns, Clippers, Dallas all got better. The Pelicans will be better if they can get Zion back with Ingram (who has already returned).
Minnesota just shuffled the deck. GS getting GP2 back is solid, but with Curry out, I don't how much ground they can gain. Sacramento may fade.

Vanderbilt and Beasley are nice pieces. Russell could be to but he's a FA after this season as was Russ. They rid themselves of the PAt Bev nonsense and the Westbrook calamity but aside moving off of a few complete disasters I'm not sure how far this moves them from the bottom of the pack. Hachimura looks fine so far. Bamba doesn't do much for me.

Beasley and Vanderbilt are built to play off stars. D-Lo can shoot and the Lakers needed shooters. Pat Bev and Westbrook sucked.

A shot-blocking big that can hit 3s at a 40% clip is a game-changer.
This feels like when people were poo-pooing Bobby Portis.

The Lakers basically gave LeBron the supporting cast he has been lacking since they won it all. They really worked wonders turning their garbage into a bonafide team. And they kept Gabriel and Reaves in the process. Very impressive.

Yeah, I like all of their moves other than the Bryant trade, but it sounds like he demanded a trade, so maybe they had to do it. I still don't think they're a true contender, but they got better and they didn't have to give up too many assets.

Let's go get Reggie Jackson and Will Barton and call it a day.

By EPM, there are only two players in the league worse than Will Barton this year and Justin Holiday isn’t much better. There’s 12 guys worse than him. Will Barton is 1st percentile on defense and Holiday is 3rd…that’s not exactly great haha

Lol maybe just need a change of scenery? Unfortunately he might be the best of the bunch and at least this would be a waaaay better situation for him then the wizards were.
Id just sign Reggie and Barton and call it a day. If something else comes along you can always waive.

If Barton is playing that badly, maybe you just need to start Craig or D.Lee. But I wouldn't mind having Barton for depth. He played some really nice minutes against us in 2021.

So, aren't we better just by keeping Okogie on the rotation? I like his all-out effort, would prefer to bring help at both guard positions and end the Shamet experiment for good, he just doesn't have it. Payne is a chocolate box at his point, so we better chore up those positions.

I think I’d give Okogie the first look…but I’m sure it’ll be Craig.

LeBron is giving another speech at center court before their game against the Bucks?
