You mean compartmentalized?
No. I know people that compartmentalize. They cheat on their wife. They drink & drive. I don't think it's remotely the same thing. Just my opinion.

Fwiw, I think some people interpret the New Testament extremely poorly to serve their own agendas. Religion is like that, unfortunately.
As a philosophy teacher, I find it difficult to understand how some Christians match their concept of ethics, (God is the author of all life, selflessness) with the pro-choice position. I could see using the self-defense concept (Reagan did this) in case of incest, rape, and life of the mother, but beyond that, its hard to see.

Sorry. Just thinking out loud. This is a discussion for another place.
Even in this instance, I don't understand the concept. If "god is the author of all life," as you put it, then wouldn't the life created by those awful acts be just as worthy as any life he created?

Of course, this comes from a life-long heathen.

Since he's still on our payroll I'll post it here...but did you guys see the latest move keeping Josh Childress relevant?

Pretty nasty cheap shot.

wow. Nice Danny Fortson imitation. The other player's screen, while a borderline moving screen, was rough but within limits.

Shavlik.

It’s his world; we all are just living in it.

On Childress, he plays for the Kings who are basically the knicks of the NBL. As in the league looks after them since Sydney is the biggest market.

One of the worst things I have seen in the NBL. Maybe he has been watching too much Rugby whilst in Sydney. That city will do that to people, unless its hosting the Olympics its not a friendly place. There must have been some build up to that. Total over reaction to a hard screen. Must have copped some elbow or forearm in that screen to react like that. Or maybe he is just pissed he never developed a jump shot despite being paid millions to play basketball.

If Barron couldn't cut it years ago, theres no way he'd make it now. Shav, no brainer.

Anyone know what he got paid for his trouble? The guy seems to have made a living off of NBA training camps and ten day contracts.

Honestly, he probably outplayed Randolph more times than not, but with Randolph's guaranteed contract and added 3-point shot, the odds weren't in Barron's favor.
