Don't wish injuries to anyone. It seems to always come back on the Suns in the worst times.
I thought I heard that Davis could be coming back this next week.

thanks for the good video 008. Doesn't look too bad and negative x-rays are great news.

Did anyone listen to the hoop collective podcast with brian Windhorst?
Got a little heated in the mvp debate. Windhorst is upset Jokic is running away with it over Embiid. Doesn’t seem to understand that Jokic playing 20 more games is kinda important.

That's one way to look at it. The other is that the injury gods are taking out young, Western Conference shooting guards one at a time. So I'd just rather not play that game.

I didn't listen to it, but I think Embiid has been better on a per game basis. I'd still give the award to Jokic if the season ended today because the best ability is availability.

This line is used often in the pod.
Windhorst is mostly pissed that Jokic had 90 votes in the straw poll of likely voters to Embiid’s 5. He wanted it closer. He’s fine with Jokic as MVP, but talks like Embiid was disqualified for being hurt for 10 games. The point the other two are trying to make is first that Embiid has missed more than just those 10 games as he often won’t play back to backs. Secondly, the gap in votes doesn’t necessarily correlate with a gap in how close the race is.
The funny thing to me is that he doesn’t seem to care that Lebron has been disqualified by an injury. The two other guys talk about how it was essentially a 3-way tie and then Lebron/Embiid got hurt, so Jokic naturally is in the lead.He brings up the fact that in the previous straw poll, Lebron was leading the race to show that it wasn’t a 3-way tie. Which would be fine if his argument was that Lebron is MVP, but his argument is Embiid, who was essentially tied with Jokic in that previous straw poll and then got hurt.
Anyways, it’s pretty interesting to listen to as they get pretty heated.

Remember when Jabari Parker was a thing?

Think injuries kinda wrecked him...that and his unwillingness to play any D whatsoever.

I just watched the Blazers come from behind to squeak one out in San Antonio by one without Lillard. Rough one for the Spurs. At least now they have some time to lick their wounds and recover... Oh, wait. No they don’t. They fly to Phoenix and play the Suns Saturday night!

The Celtics waived Moritz Wagner to sign Jabari Parker. I think he's an interesting developmental big man at only 23. Not sure who we'd get rid of to bring him in though.

Wouldn’t be eligible for the playoffs either. Don’t think it’s worth it

Was thinking going forward. Maybe we can sign him to a two way?

Hmm, that actually isn’t a bad idea. We have a two-way spot available without having to cut someone. I’d be all for it in that case.
