I listen to Flex’s recent podcast this morning that he dropped a few days ago about the kyrie situation. Was gonna provide a recap but then the News literally broke about the Mavs deal minutes of me finishing it lol
He was talkin little wild about how we wouldn’t have “break up band” to get him. Paul wouldn’t be apart of any deal and willing to be the 6th man. Says there’s was another star that wants to be to be traded to the suns this summer that he can’t name right now. Idk, seems silly looking back haha idk. I guess we’ll see.
I fully expect us to sell low on Crowder and not much else. Use Booker being back as the deadline addition. I really hope I'm wrong but I don't see any big changes coming to the team whose starting lineup has played 6 games together.
Solid work split... Please don't shoot me.... I know this sounds a little nutty, but, what if there's a way to take Simmons and not send the picks? We'd be doing the Net's a solid at ridding themselves of Simmons and could see us being the place he gets out of his funk (plus gives us a 4). I know he's got his issues, but could legitimately see him getting out of his funk with us. I just value those picks a lot more than most I guess.

That's a good expectation to have.
Plus, JJ got that improvement from within that he was looking for.

Let Monty work his magic? He's not a wizard.
Hmmm...wonder if there is a trade where CP3 and Simmons/Dinwiddie are the principals. Then, a bunch of you can get happy by trading Ayton for Siakam.
Going to enjoy the Mavs trying to get Kyrie and Lyka to share the ball. Could be brilliant but more likely a chemistry experiment gone kaboom. Maybe this will help get the Suns get that monkey off of our backs.
At this point we're just hoping that KD has placed that call to the BKN front office saying, "I don't want to be here. Please trade me." I would want out if I were him; that team doesn't have the talent to contend, and it won't be able to get there.
That said, if BKN refuses to trade him, I don't think we need to give up and just sit pat with this roster. There could be other Ayton trades out there and/or Crowder trades to be had. As much as we bag on Ayton for his inconsistency, he has value and there are teams like TOR and IND that actively want him. I think we could move him for real value if that's what we really want to do. And despite all the concern about Crowder being an asshole, he too has value to contending teams, either by himself or as part of a package.
