I think Payne and Looney could really help the roster. They're JYD guys and we don't have any of those. Need some hustle players who can junk up a game and case some chaos.

I do worry that Looney is basically a zero as a scorer…he’s basically a smaller, more mobile Nurkic. Can’t shoot, not a great finisher…but he can set screens, run some dho, rebound and defend. I wouldn’t feel great if he’s our starting C, but 20 minutes a game could be doable.
My personal preference would be to add Looney as a backup 5 but also upgrade Nurkic…if we’re keeping Nurkic, I think I’d prefer a 5 that gives us a lob threat or is a stretch 5…we need an option that isn’t a 0 as a scorer.

I think if we get Looney there is an 85% chance Nurk is traded. My preference would be to pick up Looney, draft one of these nice centers in the first round (Ware, Flip, Missi), trade Nurk for a back up PG or shooting 4 or 5. This might be a good draft to pick up an extra first or second rounder.
If it weren’t for the injuries, definitely. But Robinson can’t stay healthy. Worse than Nurk the past couple years. They might bite.

I'd rather have the lesser Center who actually plays.

Why would we want Robinson if he can't stay on the court?

Know who else can’t stay on the court?

Nurk was in the same boat when we acquired him…he did manage to stay on the court last year.

I wouldn't say the same boat. Nurkic has really had only one major injury that caused him to miss a long stretch, and the Blazers were content with being uncompetitive in his last two seasons.
Robinson has played 31 one games in a season for a third of his career so far. His injuries have been much more diverse and abundant than Nurkic's.
