Utah now has a Frenchman and a German manning the C spot.

I don't buy it. Amare spent most of that season trailing the play and popping from the corner of the free throw line. Mike had problems but playing starters 32-35 mpg is not one of them.Mori Chu wrote:It's not just about the number of minutes per game. I see the 76ers being the ones that step in and get something for taking on salary without giving anything back.Ring_Wanted wrote:Presti is matching the max for Kanter, including trade kicker (paid by the sending team) and 4th year player option.
Instant domino: dumping PJ3 and Novak, maybe others too.
Presti wants to shed salary.
It is time to pay them back and see if you can grab some assets.
I don't like Kanter at that price, either. The motto of the offseason.JCSunsfan wrote:Wow. Hard to see Kanter as a max player. No defense.

But the Thunder had little choice. He is the fix to one of their long term holes in post scoring. Real post scoring, plus offensive rebounding. He is young and they are banking on Ibaka to cover his ass on D. I think he will try harder too.
The opportunity cost here was too big to let him go for nothing, and that doesn't even factor Durant bolting.
On the other hand, Portland had no business making that offer. It's almost like they trolled the Thunder but in the end everybody got what they wanted.
Isn't the prevailing thought around the "know it alls" (I'm talking to you Doug Franz) that Jimmer can't play? Here we go, S.A. is going to try to prove everyone wrong again.carey wrote:S.A. is signing Jimmer.
Well, actually, no.carey wrote:Supposedly it has a small guarantee & it's just a chance to make the team but.... can anyone else see Jimmer playing 18 min a game burying 2 3's a game while shooting 40%?

Nice third option at C for the Jazz. Their roster is looking so tantalizing, but I have to admit that I am extremely partial to Hayward. Burke and Burks are bad to meh but their PF/C rotation, along with Exum, gave them the best defense in the L after they traded Kanter.carey wrote:Utah now has a Frenchman and a German manning the C spot.

STILL WITH THE JIMMMER THING????Ladmo wrote:I was wondering if you guys picked up on the Jimmer to San Antonio story.
I fucking hate it when the Spurs keep picking up talented players that nobody is interested in for nothing, and then look like geniuses for doing the obvious. I keep hoping that the Suns might be that smart.
How are you gonna' feel if the Suns get their asses handed to them by the Spurs Fredette knocking down game winning threes? My worst nightmare is coming to fruition, yet again...
