SUNS 2014: Free Agency
Re: SUNS 2014: Free Agency
I really hope we don't get rid of Dragic. Bledsoe reminds me too much of Marbury.
I think if Lebron picks us then Dragic is gone and it is what it is. We would be a better team at the end of the day.
If Lebron doesn't pick us and we trade Dragic for Love then I'm not sure we win more games than we did last year. Without some young guy busting out or another big trade.

Well, the quote above seems to say one way he stays and the other he's gone based on LeBron's decision.TheOriginalOriginal wrote:I think Dragic is a gonner regardless, it could just be who for. Love, Rondo, George, other?

I think it means if we get Lebron he stays. If we don't he goes as part of another dealSuperbone wrote:What does that mean to you guys? We get LeBron, we lose Dragic? Or other way around?Dragic's future with the Suns depends on Lebron's decision.
Re: SUNS 2014: Free Agency
Plus, there's the injury concerns with Bledsoe. As I've said many times, I don't want Love without Dragic.EDC wrote:I really hope we don't get rid of Dragic. Bledsoe reminds me too much of Marbury.

Re: SUNS 2014: Free Agency
If I could guess, and it would only be a guess, it's if we land LeBron then Dragic is a goner. The idea of 3 ball dominant players doesn't work that well. I think Dragic would then be moved for space/asset and we'd bring the friend of LBJ's choice and sign Ray Allen & another player or two. That's my total uninformed shot in the dark.Superbone wrote:What does that mean to you guys? We get LeBron, we lose Dragic? Bledsoe/Ennis
Allen/Goodwin
LBJ/Warren
Bosh/Markieff/Mook
Plumlee/Len
LBJ signs w/ Cleveland / Miami then Goran stays and we sign a tier 2 FA like Deng and a tier 3/4 guy like Jordan Hill.

Re: SUNS 2014: Free Agency
The thinking could be, if we get LeBron he becomes our 2nd ballhandler off of Bledsoe and we can get a more traditional 2 that can spot up (like a Morrow). Plus, we know we won't be able to give Dragic a competitive contract next year if we give LeBron the max and maybe add a 2nd superstar for the max or close to it (or end up giving a max deal to Bledsoe).
I'm curious as to what potential deal(s) we have out there for Dragic. Philly seems willing to take on salary and he and MCW could make for a nice pairing.

I'd lean that way versus the other way.carey wrote:If I could guess, and it would only be a guess, it's if we land LeBron then Dragic is a goner. Can Dragic be traded for LeBron in a s&t so he can get the extra year?
Love, Hurts.

Re: SUNS 2014: Free Agency
Could it be Dragic, Green and a draft pick or two for a re-signed LBJ at 20mil and the Heat get a 10mil or so TE?
Re: SUNS 2014: Free Agency
Yes, but LeBron won't want it. I'd be surprised if he gets a deal that isn't a 3 year opt out.TheOriginalOriginal wrote:Can Dragic be traded for LeBron in a s&t so he can get the extra year?

Re: SUNS 2014: Free Agency
That's exactly what's gonna happen (1st sentence) - all backup minutes at 4 just slid to Marcus, which'll free all the backup 3 minutes to Warren. Unless Alec Brown cancelled his overseas plans, we'd do good getting a 3rd.TheOriginalOriginal wrote:That is the question, his bro I'd guess right now with Warren slipping into Marcus' minutes.
Maybe we pursue Haslem?
If this were, say, 5 years ago, I'd have no problem going after Haslem - but, as it stands, he's just about had it. No thanks.
Re: SUNS 2014: Free Agency
They don't need the TE. If LBJ goes they'd never fill the space anyway.ShelC wrote:Could it be Dragic, Green and a draft pick or two for a re-signed LBJ at 20mil and the Heat get a 10mil or so TE?

As would I, a 5 yr max thru age 35 would be pretty appealing though.carey wrote:Yes, but LeBron won't want it. I'd be surprised if he gets a deal that isn't a 3 year opt out.TheOriginalOriginal wrote:Can Dragic be traded for LeBron in a s&t so he can get the extra year?
