Do we think we would have beaten the Nugs with Turner or Sabonis?

Trade Ayton for Myles Turner(saves roughly 12 million).
I still don't know why Indiana trades a player that was better last season and cheaper.
Ya I don’t know either…wishful thinking that they still believe in him like they did when they signed him to the max offer sheet
I think, if they are still interested in Ayton, they will want to pair him with Turner.
Even after pairing him with Sabonis didn’t really work?
Sabonis and Ayton are very different. Ayton is a much more mobile defender.

Jokic is likely killing anyone at this point, but Turner's rim protection would've helped a lot, I think. Sabonis would've probably helped more replacing Paul than Ayton.

Russillo mentioned that Turner plays Jokic pretty well. I haven’t seen it, but thought it was interesting. And he shoots, which makes defending the pnr more difficult as Turner can pop to 3 and be wide open.

Agreed. To be honest, the motivation to sign Ayton to a max offer sheet knowing the Sun's would almost certainly match it may simply have been a move to placate their fanbase. A 'We went after a max center but unfortunately he resigned with the Suns' , better luck next time kind of deal.

More importantly, they should be retainable near minimum salaries.

That too. I don't know about it being more important though.

If Monty ends up if Detroit, I’d love to trade Shamet for Burks or Marvin Bagley. I think Bagley could have a Channing Frye type resurgence with us, also a hometown kid just like Channing was.

LOL! I didn't even think about the value of Monty coaching another team in terms of creating a suitor for Mr. Shamet's services.

Take the Detroit job Monty!!!!

Maybe Okogie's poor showing in the playoffs will be a blessing in disguise. If he'd been awesome in the playoffs, he probably would fetch too high a salary for us to keep him. But now we can probably get him to stick around on a reasonable contract. And maybe he can work on his shooting and become more consistent this coming season.

Landale sure, but I think JO might cost significantly more.

I thought so at one point, but he couldn’t play in the Denver series…I wouldn’t pay someone more than the minimum that can’t play in the playoffs. Landale was more useful.

Unfortunately, I don't think we're going to be able to afford Okogie. I think his play this year caught plenty of teams' eyes and one will come through with an offer for a portion of the MLE or the TPMLE.

Good for him if some team gives him that, I wouldn’t offer more than the minimum.

Yeah, I think Okogie played himself back to a minimum contract.

I would definitely bring Crowder back.
Shocker, bringing someone back that hated Monty.
I think you got that backwards. Monty is the one who didn’t want him on the team.
