I hate that Ryan is so married to this guy.
You have to stop making up things.

But living in a fortress of hate is way more fun.

Refusing to give Bledsoe what he wants is the definition of being married? McD must be the wife.

I admire the commitment to virtue. Bledsoe's begging for max, and McD is all "If you want me to put out like that you have to give me a ring first."

Do I need to tell you? You are making up that McD is married to Bledsoe.
He obviously wants to keep the player/not lise him for nothing, but the way things have gone this summer is proof that he is far from indisolubily attached to him.

Well, crap, if I'd know that was available online I'd have gone with that one. Usually SNL doesn't like their clips on streaming sites other than NBC.com.

The dancers in the real video are almost as badly out of sync as Timberlake, Samberg and Moynihan.

How to sign Eric Bledsoe:
Step 1: cut a hole in a box

Wouldn't work. The only dick Eric's interested in is LeBron's.

Seeing how marriage isn't indissoluble, your response doesn't justify the original comment that I'm making stuff up.
Despite the injuries, the abundance of point guard options, the unreasonable contract demands, and the seemingly lukewarm (at best) desire to be a Sun, Ryan is still ready and willing to workout a substantially large contract with Bledsoe and has also said the Suns are not/will not pursue any trades. That's disappointing.
You can quibble about my word choice if it so pleases you, but the bottom line is I don't like Ryan's commitment to retaining Bledsoe.

it's time to end the kabuki dance. enough is enough.
it's time to move on from bledsoe and pursue other players.

What would you have him do? Trade him? That's complicated by his free agency status and the fact that other teams aren't showing a lot of interest.
Look, I sympathize. By this point it's pretty clear that Bledsoe is either a delusional egotistical jerk, or just doesn't want to be here. I'm ready to move on. But you don't just give up on a talent like Bledsoe unless you can get value for him.

do the suns really need four point guards?

They certainly need four guards at the least, and Ennis probably isn't ready, so losing Bledsoe would leave the backcourt very thin. Of course, you know this, and your argument is insincere.

I quibble about making it look like the Suns are desperated to give Bledsoe whatever he wants when it's certainly not the case. If Ryan was married to Bledsoe he would have given him most of what he is demanding and he'd be signed already, but he hasn't.
To me the bottom line is that in the real world you don't lose a talent like Bledsoe for nothing or for scraps in a sign and trade, if you can avoid it.
Injury risk? Sure, we wouldn't be talking about this if his health was perfect. I've been saying all along that his health is the only thing that gives me pause when thinking about commiting to Bledsoe, but he came back and if the doctors ok the gamble, I am willing to take it if forced to choose between spending or losing him for nothing.
Abundance of PG? Given the way Hornacek wants to play, three starter caliber PGs have all the room they need. Ennis at #18 is what irks me, but regardless, his presence doesn't have a big impact on wether I keep Bledsoe or not.
Unreasonable contract demands? Instantly rejected. The GM made a fair market offer and is using the leverage at his disposal to avoid paying too much. We'll see how this ends up, but so far his stance actually deserves credit instead of citicism, in my opinion.
The player doesn't desire to be in Phoenix? Pse. This is not the first time a restricted free agent gets frustrated and won't be the last one. This is a business. If he is in love with another franchise, I've said many times that the best option for all the parties is getting Bledsoe a fair contract that makes him desirable to other teams so he can get Phoenix good pieces in a trade, which I'd be more than willing to facilitate starting dec 15, but first things come first and he needs to re-sign.
