If this thread turns into a "shit on Ayton every time he has a mediocre game for Portland" channel, we will definitely hit 200 pages.
Ya can’t say I’m excited for the constant updates either way. Hopefully we’re just so dominant that we all stop caring how Ayton plays
My bad. I thought this thread had transitioned into a running meme of his career.

I mean y’all can do what you want…I’ll just try to stay out of it if it bothers me too much

It's dumb of him to give such a crappy answer to those questions. He should know they're going to ask him that and have something simple to say that isn't so awkward. Most players say something like, "It's just another game," or "I don't focus on that, I'm focused on my team and helping my team win," or things of that nature. Not, "I have no thoughts at all," or, "Hey no fair, I want you to ask me about a different topic!"

That's just a weird exchange. Seems like he definitely has some feelings about it, which is fine, but at least give a bumper sticker answer and move on.

I just find myself feeling bad for him now that he’s not on the team I root for. I get why this game might be rough for him…do agree he could’ve handled it better. Hopefully he can get out of the spotlight a bit, lessen some pressure on himself, and just work on his game. I can honestly say I’d love to lose my bet with Jeremy and see DA put up 25 a game this year

The lack of eye contact is very telling.

I don't think most of you realize how much he loved Phoenix. He feels betrayed, by the whole city--the fanbase, his teammates, the organization.

Dude, we’re not allowed to rib you a bit for this type of comment? A lil trite, you can admit it. You’re just writing fan fiction with a steamy romance novel cover with Ayton shirtless dripping sweat walking off the court.

His effort level did not warrant love in return. It warranted a good ol fashion BOO

How long till the fans turn on Ayton in Portland? Where's the poll on that?

Haha, it's too bad he didn't play well enough for any of that to matter. He got paid a very large amount of money for production that did not follow.

It's perfectly in his right not to talk about it although I like what Book said about how he appreciates every player that's come through and been part of the process.

That's on him for not putting in the work to get better and to coast the last two years.

Do you know how much work he did or did not put in?
